No....but my family thinks I have some sort of germ phobia because
I wash my hands when they are not dirty.....I just want them clean
I won't sit on a public bench because some sick person could have sat there(and many other things similar to this)

I've been on various anti-depressants and counselling for around the past 2 years.
Used to self harm when I was really bad, haven't hurt myself sinse last Christmas.
Trying to decrease my Prozac dose too.

I have never been diagonsed for a Mental Health condition.
Mood disorders is actually the wrong term for what your asking.
What your asking is really has anyone been diagnosed with personality disorders to include bi-polar, etc.etc.
I know this because several of my family members have been diagnosed with several severe personality disorders.
My wife is a rapid cycle bi-polar
My step-son is also bi-polar with several other personality disorders thrown into the mix.

I dont believe in personality disorders. People are different and there is no set "way" a person's personality should be.
Chemical imbalances are nothing but bad moods, and these days people seem to think a pill is better than just getting over it. :shrug:

It is important to make the distinction between bad moods and insanity.
If someone throws a pity-party for himself and then decides to commit suicide, that is insanity.

I heard a few weeks ago that 50% of americans supposedly have mental disorders.. yea right. Its all just escapism for weak people. Its something to blame their own misery on.

Ill say it again, get over it. Popping pills because you feel bad about yourself, cant learn as fast as everyone else, or have mood swings is not a real answer.

No, although I was close to someone who is bi-polar(but apparently past the worst of it) for a while. And I'm requently called sick in the head, a view which I encourage. Although, often when I'm near drops, I think of jumping into them, rather terrifying.

Some do have some problems which needs drugs to cure. Such as my uncle, who is a bit like Panzer/Kaiser, who had a problem.
I am not sure what is was, it may have been depression, but he got worked up over little problems. For example, he lost his passport, he searched his house then went to where he worked to look for it, he then started bagging his head against the wall and wanting to kill himself. He found the passport next to his bed and calmed down.
On the other hand some people need to be hit with a wet fish.

Not neccasarily , if you think of jumping with a chute/kite/glider then its fine.
If its over deep water (watch out for the rocks and currents) and you want to try it with or without any of the forementioned then it is fun .
But without the intention of experiencing the thrill with the chance of a repeat performanance .....
Then you may well need your friends to have a serious word with you .
Big drops are fierce fun , but you must enter them with every intention of coming out again , (though sometimes it doesn't work out like that) .
Well, I had a severe past with depression and anxiety.. My story is nearly like a drama, causes resulting other causes etc.. Too long and dark story individually, and noone else would like to know it..
If it is something like depresion or anxiety, a low-level of mental problems, then medication never helps without self effort. You take the pills, the stuff turns you into a dead tree, some months get past, you turn into a non-social numb organism, your level of perception diminishes, that's why you feel out of depression but not good. So when you give up the pills without fighting with the causes and the core of your depression/anxiety, you fall into the endless pit again..
I, personally, could not make use of pills until I felt strong and willing enough to get over it. Pills let me stay away from such strange moods, while I was trying to come in power of myself. I did and when I felt ready, gave up the pills, because they just screw your relationships with people.
Briefly, you get over your strange moods with right kind of medication and your willing. The pills stabilize your way. And you have to go forward along the way, if you want to get over it.
The famous "Beautiful Mind"ed John Nash is a paranoid schizophrenic, isn't he ? He deals with it on his own. Now that's what I call bravery.
In fact, schizophrenic people are "mad" because they have a totally different level of perception and comprehension, higher than the so called "normal"s. I saw Jonh Dryden saying :

I have depression. I take 20 mg a day of Lexapro to keep my mood in check. If I don't, I get really pissed at little things easly, and get upset or angry extremely easy. It is also far harder to get out of the "funk" once I'm in it.
Meds help, a lot. But it has to be the right sort, otherwise it can really mess you up, and you have to try and improve your happiness in addition to just taking the meds.
One thing I really get pissed at is Scientolgists, or fools who don't believe in depression or make fun of people who have it. My mom, and many of her ancestors had depression. They of course were never diagnosed, and some of them ended up dying from alcholism. My mom is on depressants as well.
