New Frontroom Contest

BKS & Beirut are mostly proud to present the first in a series of Frontroom contests.

Contest #1: Submit a photo essay entitled “The Perfect Day”.

The idea – post a series of pics that present your idea of the perfect day. The food, the women, the location, the music, the toys, the cars, the bars, the stars, anything that you would include in your perfect day.

The Rules:

-One entry per member.
-No editing.
-Text limited to short photo captions.
-Pics within Frontroom rules. No nastiness or nakedness.
-Pics must be 800x600 or smaller. Oversized and hotlinked pics will be deleted. (!)
-Limit of eight pics per post.
-No commenting on other posts. Just do your own thing.
-AMs & Mods can post but not win.
-Use the official thread below for your entries.

At the end of it all, a secret panel of biased and unfair judges will pick the best post and that person will receive a unique and blisteringly stupid prize. Open from now until midnight January 21.

800x600 is roughly the size of a 15" monitor I believe.

Right click on your pic, chose properties and that will give you a size. Any Paint program or Photoshop will tell you as well. Also, go into the Babe thread and right click on a pic, it will tell you the pixel size and will give you a good idea of what is what.

Your pic should be visible side to side in the thread without having to scroll to the right to see all of it. Not all monitors are the same size or set to the same rez, but 800x600 is a good rule of thumb. (Soly's rule of thumb if memory serves.)

1024x768 is a 15" monitor. 800x600 would be 12", I think.

Not that anyone uses a 12" monitor.

This is a good contest, it truly takes dedication...

I had to edit. The pictures were too big and messed up my formating. I didn't change any words or anything during the day i swear. You can check the edit time. It's very close to the time i posted in the thread. Please don't disqualify me!:embarassed: :wall:

The joy of frontroom contests, alright, time to put my thinking cap on...

I hope some of you guys take the time to join in. The forums here are only interesting if the members make them interesting.

These are your forums, we're just trying to organize a bit of fun.

I posted once, but although my images were uploaded to an image hoster succesfully, they did not show up, so I had to edit my post. Now it's working alright and I hope my entry is still valid. :embarassed:

Wait, I hear the plan has changed and a Marquise of plebeian taste has been appointed as sole judge of our efforts. She is bound to dislike my use of modern art...

I entered my submission and then decided to read the rules. I'm most certainly in violation of the "text limited to short photo captions" rule...but "short" is such a subjective term, right? :no: Oh well.

Now I`ve participated too.. The 5 days for this contest went a bit faster than expected, so I didn`t make my entry entirely what I wanted it to be. :book:

Tell me, can your essay consist of badly drawn pictures made with MS Paint, or does it have to be a photo essay?

It´s over now anyway. For me, there´s only one contender.
