Spreading the message of Islam under the tires of a car...
http://www.ledger-enquirer.com/mld/m...iherald_nation
Well isn't that nice. Whether its going ape #### about cartoons or seeing the ankles of women in public, there is not a more backwards sense of reason than some that live in the Islamic frame of mind. Is there REALLY a majority moderate section of Islam or is it a ploy that we will all pay for eventually. Its scary. I'm not trying to cause a flame war here but I would really like to see if someone can justify this guys actions...

Re: Spreading the message of Islam under the tires of a car...
No excuses. He needs to be executed.
Ditto for pro lifers that kill doctors.
Religion may be the why but has no bearing on what should happen.

Well Dave, whether it is “Spreading the message of Islam under the tires of a car”, or “Spreading the message of Freedom through prisoners abuse”, or even “Spreading the message of whatever through school shootings”, I think we can agree that it is scary to see reasonably sane people commit sudden horrific acts.
From what little information there is on the culprit, it indicates that he was "a nice guy" that “kept to himself” and apparently had some prior problems with traffic violations.

Re: Spreading the message of Islam under the tires of a car...
I think I know at least two people at the .org that are tired of seeing these kinds of topics but I think they know that they’re not directed against them. That being said I'd like to say that even though we're not in a war against Muslims do you think they could end their war against us? Huh? This one sided conflict is reminding me of the Carter years.
What a coward and a fool. He wanted to be caught and he didn't even have the intestinal fortitude to actually kill someone. And what's up with that Nation of Islam look? Is loony Louie going to take this guy up into his spaceship?
So far I'm not against these Muslims rioting in Iraq, they're fighting mostly amongst themselves over that horrible Mosque bombing (it wasn't as bad as the Taliban’s Buda bombings but close). Islam needs a New Testament to at least help bring it out of eye-for-an-eye mode. We’ll work on the reformation later.
What a dolt!

Re: Spreading the message of Islam under the tires of a car...
The sense I get about this guy is that he was just a nutter- plain and simple. I think that he was a Muslim is only incidental in this case.

Wonder what's up with the guy anyway. Sounds like some sort of attention complex IMO.
...and then we have Exhibit A of thorough analysis, calm judgement and open mind, Dave, jumping to conclusions and generalisations on the spot. :dizzy2:

The man didn't kill anyone. He should be attempted to be rehibilated at a prison.

Dave's postulations mainly. Mr. Attention Complex goes to a shrink. Dave is Dave, and I'm afraid he won't be getting better so I'll just be snide at him to pass the time.

Re: Spreading the message of Islam under the tires of a car...
even with a very vague disclaimer (or was it?), i can't help but think you're using a one-off incident to condemn an entire culture.

Oh this thread racist you burn in hellfires Dave. lalalalalalalalalala!
You make comment that set me aflame! Aflame I tell you!

Okay. Here is a true story:
It was 2000... or was it 2001? Either way it was before 9/11. I was working a shift as an MP on Camp Pendleton in California. We used to have these old crummily built gates with the only physical barrier being a concrete barrier, one of these:
https://img49.imageshack.us/img49/42...430x2754uy.jpg
Anyway, I was out patrolling when we got a call for "11-99" at one of our gates. That means an officer's life is in danger or there is life threatening emergency occurring. Well, we beat hell to get to the scen just in time to see a young Arab fellah getting the crap kicked out of him and thrown into the back of a patrol car.
He had driven twoards the gate at full speed, launching over the barrier and running over the MP standing guard. He then crashed his car off a ditch to the side. Then he got out of the car and came charging up the hill to the other MP there yelling "Allahu Akhbar! Allahu Akhbar!". The MP drew is gun and told him to lie down, the guy kept coming, and the MP, seeing that the man was not armed, sprayed him with pepper spray. Then everyone else showed up.
It was interesting. I think I would have shot the guy, thinking he had a boomski vest rig on or something.

Re: Spreading the message of Islam under the tires of a car...
I'm sure he was just misunderstood DA and you guys were the real criminals for not allowing him to practice his beliefs. Shame...:laugh4:

Re: Spreading the message of Islam under the tires of a car...
Another nut. Your point, beyond that USA seems to encourage everyone living there to bring out their little internal nutcase ? :dizzy2:

Seems more likely he has mental health issues and has come up with this justification after the event.
The Christians who tortured and murdered people in Abu Ghraib don't seem to have attracted much ire from you.
-
Re: Spreading the message of Islam under the tires of a car...
His intent to kill seems very real. That he didn't is IMO immaterial.
This planet is full enough as it is without wasting masses of resorces on trying to rehabilitate someone of his calibre.
Oh, I don't care what religion he professes to be a member of.

C'mon Idaho, "that is something already known. Why bring it back on stage again ?" :laugh4:
One nut who has records of assaults before, attempts another craze shot And after getting caught he mentions some BS including what is popular lately -Muslims for now, that is (hopefully not something about Avian Flu or Oscar awards). And another one brings it up here as if it can be a matter of discussion regarding the Muslims.
DevDave, sorry to disappoint you but I'd not even burp for such BS, let alone the flame war you'd not like to start. :coffeenews:

Oh get off it! Were these people singing 'Jesus loves me, this I know...' as they were pulling out fingernails? No. Do you even know the religion of those who took part of this mistreatment? Or even their intentions? Maybe you just assumed that they are all the same.

Re: Spreading the message of Islam under the tires of a car...
This reminds me of the people who go off kill a couple dozen people and then blame a video for what they did. It gets alot of attention and sympathy rather then the blatent outrage they should be feeling. :idea2: Hell I've got a great idea, lets go get us a couple homosexual's throw some tar on em and use them to light up a poker match. Then we can say Pat Robertson told us to kill them.

I don't remember times when you were different (or if you were ever), but it's obviously a loss that you take people calling you "pussy and boring" serious.

Re: Spreading the message of Islam under the tires of a car...
So the islam isn't backward after all, he didn't hit them in his reverse. Ah what to do what to do, I say get a decent truck and let him spread his message over a mile or two. :furious3:
-
Re: Spreading the message of Islam under the tires of a car...
Ok... 2 things here.
Islam is in many cases a repressive religion that has not moved on for the last 600 years or so, and although the Koran would allow for Democracy the later interpretations appear to be rigged otherwise.
The guy may well me mentally ill, and it is not fair to blame the religion he states he follows before a full evaluation is performed. Even if he is declared sane, that does not imply that the religion was causative.

Re: Spreading the message of Islam under the tires of a car...
Religion is an artefact. As even a cursory comparision between mainstream secularized Christianity and the assorted raving loons the US in particular seems to spawn, there's no end to different readings of the pretty much exact same scriptures.
And methinks DA does a fine job demonstrating why US troops seem to make such crappy peacekeeping and occupation forces... and that he's an odious racist.

Re: Spreading the message of Islam under the tires of a car...
I also find it hard to believe that when guarding a camp in America before the recent terrorist actions started up a soldier would shoot in such circumstances. Or be allowed to shoot an unarmed man in such circumstances and continue to serve.
