Why does my pm box say I have 65535 pms?

It says I have 65535 unread pms..... but nothing is in there! It also has the flashy thing saying I have a new pm but none is there:inquisitive:

And on another note. My warning has matured but I still can't edit:embarassed: why is that?


What can I do to fix the pm thing? I'll never know when I really have one if it's acting messed up.

Well 65535 is a special number that equals to 64k in computer language. I don't know how but there may be a connection.

That's 64k -1 because it's 65536 actually. :tongue:

But it does have a connection. A mystery which needs to be uncovered. :inquisitive:

Well I actually knew that it is impossible, I was just goofizing the topic.

Anyway this PM bug and the bug that changes the thread starter to admin whenever an admin posts are two annoying ones of this version of vBulletin.

Ah dammit. I wonder what would happen if I had so many PM's....

I got same problem.

There was an upgrade a while ago, this may have damaged some counts. Should be fixed now. Please report if you still experience problems.

FYI: this occured today, when I got an auto message of the board in my inbox. (a message about a warning of mine, it had been maturized, and therefor removed) when I clicked the link to the post for which I initially got the warning, I saw the strange number in the top-right corner in the new window that opened.

Did it fix Drisos?

As I closed that window, I never saw it again. ~:)

I've got the same problem.

Delete the automated PM you got because a warning matured. That should do. It worked for Csar and for me.

Hello everybody,
I just got it now too. I haven't got any warnings to mature. I think it may have something to do with the fact that I recently received and read a PM off TosaInu and, before that, one off Mithrandir. Perhaps getting two posts in a row from admins/moderators caused this. Any help would be appreciated.
