Anyone heard of exactly when M2TW will be released (and whether it will vary by country)?
In particular when will it be released in the USA?
I noticed on the totalwar.com web site you can preorder from amazon and play.com. Both look to be the UK versions of these websites, but Amazon says November 24 and Play.com October 27.
Anyone know any official news?

I don't know the exact realease date is already given.First,CA says : 3th November.Then,I read on different sites that release is planned on 25th November.Now,I read : 14th November.I am a bit confused :help:

Clearly, it will be soon. The last month has seen the amount of previews & info go through the roof, obviously the marketing machine is swinging into action as the game nears completion. Late November still gives them a couple of weeks wiggle room in case the game slips, and they can still get it out before Christmas.
Its been pretty apparant to me that there has been no public slippage on MTW2, whereas Rome ended up some 18 months "late" IIRC. And then there was that mysterious 1 month delay with STW (all the gaming mags said it was "out now", except it wasn't, I even remember PCG apologising to their fans for saying it was out when it wasn't and saying they had no idea why there was a delay).
The USA normally gets TW games a week or two ahead of Britain and light years before Australia ~:)
At least we Australians have CA :embarassed:. But it is infuriating, I mean, the game is being made in Australia, and the we're the last to get it? :dizzy2: I mean that's pretty unfair.
Sweden seems to get it the 15th of november.
The online store I buy from has this date as release date and they only set the dates when it is "confirmed".

I have found the US amazon has the release date as Nvember 14....just over 2 months to go....

Looks like US will get it indeed a bit earlier,14th November,and that they still don't know when the game will appear in Europe.For Australia,sorry i know nothing ^^

Where TW titles are designed and where they're produced is not the same place. SEGA are the publishers/distributors of the game and I imagine it's likely this will be done in the States...Quote:

Well, not that it matters too much, but play.com have just changed their version of the release date from 27th October to 10th November. The October one always looked fishy, but the 10th of November seems more feasible. Mind you, it'll still probably be at the end of November like Amazon have it.
Come visit the Grand Canyon or New York and leave on the 14th or 15th. Buy the game here be home to play it. How bout that Aussies? :2thumbsup:

If the games released around November, that'll be perfect. One month to see how you guys like the game before I buy it to brainwash myself during the Christmas holidays.
If we're getting that close, shouldn't we have a demo by now?
November 14th is only about 6 weeks away. Anybody know how long it takes to burn off all those cd's, print the manuals, box them up, and ship them? Surely if the release date is 6 weeks away, the game must be done by now?
Depending on the publisher and the coordination between the developer, the publisher, and the various logistics involved, the time between a game 'going gold' and hitting the streets can be anywhere from a week to a month, typically.
If memory serves, STW, RTW and MTW were all a couple weeks, though that was with Activision.
The concise if you read other posts is demo hits around Oct 14-16
Then I'd assume game will go gold late oct, Oct 20 something
Then game will be released come Nov 14-20 something depending on delays.
Didn't Sega release barbarian invasion or was sega just part of it and Activision still did release?
