A Name for the M2TW fora ?

Some time ago, when the Sub-forum for the Interactive History threads was made that forum had no name. Eventually a poll was put up, and people could put names forward. The Poll eventually showed Chapter House was the name to give it.

Now Medieval Totalwar 2 doesn't sound appropriate next to say...the Main hall,The colosseum and all. Therefore I propose we give it a name, and do it the exact same way as before. By giving everyone the chance to put names forward, and then put up a poll with all the mentioned options.

What do you say ?

I was wondering about naming the M2TW forum too, but then I had a second thought: might it be a good idea to wait for the game? Often we choose something out of the game. Maybe we will find some inspiration from the buildings in the game?

Moved to M2TW forum as it may draw more attention there. Just flag me when a decission is reached please (I may not see it right away).

How about "The Brothel" or "The Cur Den".

Seconding this too.

You know i'd like it if we can have versions of the M2TW board (that can be set in the user CP) that will have different namings for the boards, so you can set it so the board names are Byzantine, European, Islamic, Mongol..etc

The Great Hall, methinks.

I like 'The Armoury,' but think it belongs more on a sub-forum, such as modding or multi-player. Sort of giving you all the options of weapons or armor to suit your play-style. For the main forum I think something more 'central' like Keep or Citadel fits better.

I think we should do what econ suggested, and wait for the game to come out and then see if there isn't a building in the game we could name the forum after.

Although I suppose it could always be renamed afterwards...

In which case, I suppose "The Keep", "The Great Hall" and "The Grand Hall" are all okay, though not especially attractive. "Citadel" sounds okay, but is it really an appropriate name for a forum?

I have to say Basilica is my favorite name but I'm not sure which sub-forum should be named it (oops, early). Something Latin or closely derived from Latin would be nice too.

Main Hall part deux: the search for the cunny warren.

I'd like to use the name of in-game buildings if possible. A few stood out from the screenshots so far:

Masons Guild - for developing mods? (like the Forge)
Alchemists Guild - for discussing mods or mod techniques?
Assassins Guild - for multiplayer?

But I don't know any names for the more central buildings.

It could also be tied in to the MTW forums descriptions in the way of upgrades, e.g.

(MP) Military Academy, Tournament Fields

(Mods) Inner Repository, Alchemists Guild, Master Engineers Workshop

Or something to that effect.

Oh and Org mods please don't say theres not a big enough mp community here to warrant one, because maybe thats because you don't have a forum for it :shame:

PS. Seriously, if the Org put time and effort into advertising and revamping the mp section you could get alot of active people from the mp community. The .net had one, and atm the clan forums are very active, totalwar.org.pl have alot of mpers and they're thriving because of it. Theres alot more you can do thasn have a discussion forum, for instance an area for clan news, tournament results, etc etc. The mp forum community is very big, the fan sites just havn't tapped into it yet.
