basically, from at that pic that tomte drew a few months ago, what do you think is the coolest looking samurai outfit
to me the satomi or the asai look the best... they are also probably either of the first factions that i play as
Miyoshi or Uesugi, they are awsome!!

From a gameplay point of view we all know Chosokabe is the definate answer. ;)
From a aesthetic point of view.... Well I designed the Chosokabe out of preference tbh, lol. But since, I've also grown fond of Date, Otomo(and they would be interesting to play too) Amako and Ouchi.
The ugliest are either Shimazu or Takeda, they look too ordinary. :sweatdrop:

We need Chosokabe fighting Takeda-action and I mean yesterday. BTW, haven't you got the new arrows installed?
... My graphic card really sucks right now, so here's all I get : the yellow dude on the left is recongnisably a Chosokabe TeYari Samurai, while on the right, it's hard to tell wether the NoDachi dude is Uesugi or Tokugawa :

Couldn't care less if the Takeda are ugly or nice looking, in Shogun and in the MTW version, I've always played Takeda, though I may try Date, Tokugawa or Asai after I finish playing the Takeda

Just checked in to see if there were any surprise screens... :inquisitive: Based purely on their uniforms, my preference is for the Ouchi, the Tokugawa and the Takeda (in that order). I am not sure, however, that I will be playing the Ouchi first (or at all) ...
Hmph! How dare you discuss which faction's armor is prettiest, as if it mattered! Any honorable daimyo would play as Takeda! Your frilly, lacy, Chosokabe armor will not stop my yari cavalryman from killing you!!! :stwmean:

There have been many evolutions on the units graphic display since that picture from Tomte. The general layout of the units is respected but there is no risk of confusion at all in the battle map :laugh4: I will try to upload a screenshot in the beginning of next week... :beam:Quote:

which faction starts with the least amount of land/provinces? I rate starting out tiny then slowly expanding through the whole of the map and annihilating everyone :whip:

There won't be special units for the clans... It will take far too much time to create new units, and all the clans didn't used specials units... But you'll be able, in some provinces, to hire special mercs... Like the Sohei (warrior monks) or the Men of Iga (powerful unit)... These can make the difference in a battle :beam:Quote:

I've always been a fan of the Northern clans, so Uesugi or Date for me (but mogami was a complete tyrant)
However, Mori, Asai, Tomo, Hosokawa, Takeda, Tokugawa, and Hojo all look great imho
i cant choice between oda and takeda^^
