Conquest of Rome- Kings of Parthia (ooc thread)

Here's my idea:
A PBEM where everyone plays as the same faction. The saved game will be emailed from person to person. I just joined my first PBEM (Wine and Women), and so this is kinda new to me. The reason I am starting my own is because I think that there is greater story potential for the factions I am suggesting.

The main objective will, of course, be the conquest of Rome (From which the PBEM derives its subtitle (TCoR)).
YOU will be able to decide which faction we play as:
Celucid Empire
Parthia
or Scythia.

(If you choose Scythia, you will need to make it playable first).
This is for RTW 1.5!

No matter which one you choose, there is great story potential for each!

The Samaritans seem to be the best faction choice

er... this would be a standard PBEM. A PBEM with different factions would be termed a multiplayer campaign.

Vuk, it may be a mistake to put yourself first when you are just starting your go in the Thracian campaign. I would let UltraWar go first. Doing a PBM is more time consuming than you may imagine. (I personally am relieved you got the Thracian one going because I don't think I could handle it and the Will of the Senate at the moment. :sweatdrop:)

But if you do want to take both PBMs simultaneously, I would suggest you devote your time to Parthia first, not Thrace. Going first normally means things go quickly (because there are few towns and troops). By contrast, with Thace, Severous seems to have carved out a pretty big empire to manage.

Plus it would be good to get this one going while people are interested and, as I said, I definitely don't mind waiting a while for Thrace.

LOL, no problem. I saw that Parthia would likely win, and I started playing it and taking screenshots a while ago. I thought, what the hell, if Parthia lost I'd just finish the campaign myself. lol I have been playing for 7 years so far, I will have it ready for Ultra War in a day. I will then prepare the write up.

P.S. I'll get you the save soon Ultra War. I was only going to play for 10 turns, but then I got us into a rut, so I am going to try to stabilize us in the next few turns. (A rut like our 54 horse archers being attacked by a full army of Selucids...You get what I mean...)

Hi, I just noticed something now. Parthia is supposed to start with 5000 Denaria - we started with -5000 denaria...
I started a SP Parthian campaign and saw that, so then I loaded the first PBEM CoR KoP save, and it is now showing a positive balance...
I will post some screenies in the write-up for you to see. I don't know why they gave us a negative balance. I had assumed it was because of the difficulty level (I had never played on anything but easy), and just kept playing, trying to get out of debt.
Anyway, we are in the situation now, let's just see what we can do, lol.
Does anyone know how this could've happened?
