MTW/VI Revival Meetings

Since RTW and M2TW our old loved MTW/VI is almost dead. But there are many players who are still interested in playing it. The problem is only that they are not organized.

So we had the idea to set a date and invite all interested players via e-mail or/post the time of meeting in a forum.

We have tested it once and got some 20 experienced players from known clans and we had an interesting evening with very good 4v4 battles.

Friday, 19th at 20.30 GMT we will start our second meeting. The first lasted almost the whole knight, so that our american friends could joined later.

If you are interested in being invited please send me a short message or e-mail or post it in this or in our thread on the Heerbann-hp and you will be invited next time.

it was wondeful man. I had 4 games, 3 full games:)- and 1 dropped game :(

Even though I didn't get to play with Max and Heerbann and them, I was happy to see some of the old players and some of the "newer" VI players

I am happy that there were so many Generals following the invitation. We had several hard but therefore very interesting 4v4 battles. It was a pleasure to meet You all again after a long time.


Thanks to all who had informed their clannies and thanks to all who had come and brought this revival-party to success.

I hope this will go on, so that we can keep play VI as long as possible. It is on us all.


Because of some inquiries we arranged to meet every friday at 20 Gmt until further notice. Maybe there are some people who always have to do some tasks at this time and so they have no possibility to join. In that case, we may change the date from time to time. I think first we have to find it out.

So if someone has an idea how to handle it, please tell me.

yea, I usally won't come on untill 4:30 or so (unless I have Friday off from school, like I do this upcoming friday :D)

But I think this can work out very well IMO, and if more and more people come also, it be good then for VI.

We have had very good games again, and really a lot of it. It was a pleasure to meet some more old known fellows and had huge, loud and very wild party on the fields... Errrmm... most people would call this party a battle i think. But we had a lot of adventure, adrenalin, some a bit panic ;-)), others the satisfaction of victory over hard opponents and last but not least once more a lot of fun.

I hope more will follow our call "Back to VI" to join our "parties" on the fields. All are welcome.

It was a blast last night suprised we stood up so late. It was another suprise to find RTK there in full strenght. Hopefully I can rally up the Hunters and show up in great numbers next Friday. Games were all excellent all vet teams felt like they were all tournamet games. :2thumbsup:

I am sad to read this. I understand... also me needs a rest from time to time from other things. But MTW/VI it is my rest from my girl and from the night life of my town :inquisitive:

I hope to see You coming back after a while. You are always welcomed m8. And pls ignore the rude players. They will be always there but You are hard enough to ignore them. Join Battles with guys You know and like, so it will be always fun.

Don't worry guys...I'm not leaving VI at all. MTW :rifle: is a different beast altogether which was fun when there wasn't VI to iron out the "bugs" and when there were certain ethics people upheld. Still we have that in VI by the bucket load. Won't get rid of me that easy...roll on next Friday :burnout:

We should try to play also on wednesday. Last friday we got more than 30 ppls from 21 gmt until several hours.

And I know there are a lot of ppls who have no time on friday generally.

Let us just try it.

My PC was down the whole week, now I am in my office to write this.

We are back on the fields of VI tonight from 20 GMT until open end as every week.

I am very glad to see that there are a lot of players back in VI. Thank You all for that. That made it worth to have worked hard for it two months ago.

I recognized there are a lot of players online in VI on sunday or wednesday and other times. So I think it is not necessary anymore to invite all via e-mail for the revival-meetings or to post it here.

So You all know: We play every friday (20 gmt to ??) and every sunday from 18/19 gmt to ???) and in additon sometimes on other days.
Come and fight, have a lot of fun. It's on us all to hold this game alive - and it's the best strategic game ever.

I really like it to see back so many MTW Vi player. There are so many maps, possible rules, seasons, factions etc. It should be always a way to try new things. Hopefully Activision will never switch off our gamespy server.

Pssst I got VI working on my sons PC with the mappac so Ill be dropping in now and then if hes not on his pc. Unfourtunately he spends more time on his pc than I do on mine and thats saying alot.
