Bonzai - Belgium Jump!
Jones & Stephenson - First Rebirth
Space Frog - Follow me
Krid Snero - White line
WARNING: title of this particular song might be offensive, but hell, this is one great track!

Milk Inc - In my eyes
Some more classix
Energy 52 - Café del Mar

Re: Retro House/Techno/Trance/Dance Thread.
I was looking for one of the most idiot songs of them all from Tnt, but couldn't find it. So we'll have to do with the second most idiot song:
D-Devils - dance with the devil

You really couldn't find anything worse, could you?
Let's stick to good retro shall we?
Bonzai mega mix
Cherrymoon
And if you need to burn some calories, try hacking/jumping on this:
Just follow the rythm ~;)
Scooter - Move your :daisy:
And some more hardcore. Try working out with this on maximum volume:
Marshall Masters - I like it loud
Marshall Masters
Scooter - hyper hyper

Indeed, I tried searching for "al wie dan niet springt" but I couldn't find it anywhere.
Also you posted Milk Inc.
EDIT: ALs je echt kalorieën wil verbranden raad ik je aan te jumpen op speedcore!

Re: Retro House/Techno/Trance/Dance Thread.
Can I assume that you will be in Essen this year around August 25th?
Maybe you need a hint.
I don't have much of an idea about retro stuff or what fits into what genre exactly, mostly I just listen to Beirut Nights Radio as you may know. Most of their music is softer than what you posted I think. Let me give some examples:
Mario Lopez - Alone
Karma - Amore mio
Scooter - One (Always Hardcore)
Paolo Ligorio - The colours of my life (myspace link)
Well, that's it for now, it's not retro anyway...I'm soooo uncool.
-
Re: Retro House/Techno/Trance/Dance Thread.
Equador - Sash!
(don't know why that video is on it as it's not about equador, those birds come from Indonesia but wth)
-
Re: Retro House/Techno/Trance/Dance Thread.

Re: Retro House/Techno/Trance/Dance Thread.
Gah, can't look at them here, this computer crashes when watching Youtube, but be sure to have something from the "gabber"-scene
-
Re: Retro House/Techno/Trance/Dance Thread.
-
Re: Retro House/Techno/Trance/Dance Thread.
Thunderdome 93!
Gabber enough, Stig?
EDit: What do you have with Fiocco, Andres? Me not likey.
-
Re: Retro House/Techno/Trance/Dance Thread.
Bonzai TJATJATJATAMJA UUUUUUUUUUUUMCHAAAAAAAAAAA
Hardcore classic, http://fr.youtube.com/watch?v=Vm-L4amIHNM
Yep, Frag was Gabber.

Re: Retro House/Techno/Trance/Dance Thread.
Hmmm, not a very clip of Flesh.
The Classic; http://fr.youtube.com/watch?v=yolo2ZybZJU
-
Re: Retro House/Techno/Trance/Dance Thread.
Hmm, that old stuff is only partly good IMO. Let me present some more of the new stuff I like:
FHM High Street Honeys - I Touch Myself
Warning: Contains girls who don't behave like nuns.
Starsplash - Cold As Ice 2.07
I like this one.

Might also be a good time to have a look at this again.
Most of the music I like can probably be found somewhere in the House and Trance sections. Like this:
Alice Deejay - Better off alone
And Moros, I'd certainly not know any better than those girls.:laugh4:
-
Re: Retro House/Techno/Trance/Dance Thread.
Well you have to hear it loud, it's all energy. Some of that all boom is surprisingly well composed, but you don't hear that on pc-speakers. Bass twisting, sucking, curling..... Youth sentiment rather then artistic apreciation though :beam:
listen, carefully http://fr.youtube.com/watch?v=kID2Oo...elated&search=

There are other sounds, yes, but it still seems too repetitive for my taste.
Maybe one has to take those coulourful pills to appreciate it.:sweatdrop:
I liked that blues or so you posted in another thread a lot better. ~;)
-
Re: Retro House/Techno/Trance/Dance Thread.
I once liked it, some long time ago, when I was a young kid. Now I prefer proper music.

I hear you, but you have to admit, the youth sentiment gives this music some extra.
On the other hand, maybe you were a bit too young at the time this music was at his peek.
Some more:
Milk Inc - Oceans (remix)
The Mackenzie feat Jesse - Innocence
The Mackenzie feat Jessy - I am free
The Mackenzie feat Jessy - All I need
And this song has something "hot", "hot" like in: imagine some good looking girl dancing in front of you and you go dancing right next to her, close, try to catch her eyes, ah, grrrrr... : The Mackenzie feat Jessy - without you
Oh, and look at what I found. Great song, really great, and it's belgian :2thumbsup: --> Praga Khan - Breakfast in Vegas

I was trying to find Ram Eye from Commander Tom (or whatever it was called),
This version seems different from what I remember
But I refuse to open my infamous box of old cds...

Re: Retro House/Techno/Trance/Dance Thread.

Superb thread! I love old dance stuff!! :egypt:
There's so much cool stuff.. but to call a few of the best..

- charly lownoise & mental theo (same story)
- gunther!
- gigi d'agostino
- captain jack - captain jack
- scatman john - scatman john
- cascada - everytime we touch
- rollergirl - lemonade

Jump for joy.
Gah, I want to be 18 again!

Sasha Dith - Russian Girls is nice as well, though I heard "Sasha Dith - Russian Girls 2007 (F`s Radio Edit)" which I liked a bit better than the original, it's just not on the tube.

Re: Retro House/Techno/Trance/Dance Thread.
sorry moros, I hadn't been clicking all the youtube links. ~;) and Culture Beat is a must have among the must haves.. simply extremely cool! I like crying in the rain as well.. but it's not less good, among the must haves, but not among the must haves among the must haves, :inquisitive: :dizzy2: well
and Andres.. yeah, I love them too. must say, Never Alone is my favourite as well. ~:) But like I said.. the majority of their songs is awesome ~:) :egypt:

Re: Retro House/Techno/Trance/Dance Thread.
Well as for trance, there's always Cygnus X:
http://fr.youtube.com/watch?v=g4IFsBUPGF0
I'd say this is somewhat of a gabber classic (don't mind the clip):
http://fr.youtube.com/watch?v=E9KzFd...elated&search=
Techno classic, that's hard really, can't think of any at the moment.

This one a bit crappy quality, but damn, its a track since which I turned to trance 9 years ago! 7th track on my first casette .... :2thumbsup:
-
Re: Retro House/Techno/Trance/Dance Thread.
Well, not really 90ties stuff, but I accidentally stumbled upon this one again. It's from 2006 and it fits well in this thread:
Gebroeders Ko - Ik heb een Boot (Boten Anna)
-
Re: Retro House/Techno/Trance/Dance Thread.
Ah, good ol' 2 Fabiola...
I'm on Fire
Lift U up
And another from 2 Brothers on the 4th Floor

Re: Retro House/Techno/Trance/Dance Thread.
Ian van Dahl - Castles in the sky:

A real classic hwhich I think is a bit forgotten: Kosmonova - Ayla (DJ tiƫsto remix from a DJ Taucher remix):

Indeed feels like J&H, that one. And I prefer most J&H songs over it. Het initial start of the melody is great.. but it's less 'trancy' later on.
Btw, in the past ... 6 or so months, a different genre has conquered my mind. Hardstyle. (more specific, preferably the newer kind of hardstyle, sometimes called 'Nustyle'... it's more melodic)
It's pretty hard sometimes though, and most of the time there's few variation. I love it, but I can imagine others not doing so.
Nice examples;
Headhunterz:
http://nl.youtube.com/watch?v=LDwA-4zSE9w
http://nl.youtube.com/watch?v=LzKiYzm0kDo
http://nl.youtube.com/watch?v=aAOdct7oRcA

D-Block & S-Te-Fan:

Abject:
http://nl.youtube.com/watch?v=0Aj9-QQvBXQ
Noisecontrollers:
http://nl.youtube.com/watch?v=nEjac6Y9fjI
(note that most have intro's and outro's, which are probably even worse for those who don't like harddance music.. you might want to skip them)
Gotta love it!
Btw, Moros, do you ever 'jump' nowadays? (Ik sta hier wel'ns te stampjumpen bij de zeldzame keren dat ze hier jump/hardstyle draaien..niet dat er veel fatsoenlijks gedraaid wordt.. dj porny.. lol. gadver)

Re: Retro House/Techno/Trance/Dance Thread.

-
Re: Retro House/Techno/Trance/Dance Thread.
Jumpen en hakken is voor paupers met schoteloogjes en campingsmoking, dat heeft gewoon niks te doen met de dwingende energie en dito moves van een goede techno-plaat.

Re: Retro House/Techno/Trance/Dance Thread.
I'm surprised no one has mentioned Orbital yet.
Glad to see Juno Reactor, Praga Khan, and Ian van Dahl make it on here though.
I prefer a little harder "edge" to my music but I do have a soft spot for Orbital.
Does Gothic/Industrial, Synthpop, Powernoise, or EBM count for this thread? If so, I have plenty of other bands to list.

Re: Retro House/Techno/Trance/Dance Thread.
*** Casts resurrection spell on thread ***
I don't know about you guys, but anyone else getting the impression that there's a little revival of house and dance music going on lately (since a year or so)? Or has it never really been away?
Examples:
Laurent Wolf - Wash my world
Laurent Wolf - No stress
Guru Josh Projekt - Infinity
Robert Abigail - Merengue
Robert Abigail - Mojito song
Also, a group as Milk Inc has never been so popular as now in Belgium. All their concerts in the Antwerp Sportpaleis are sold out (and I've been there last night :2thumbsup:).
Could it be that the days of good taste are coming back?
-
Re: Retro House/Techno/Trance/Dance Thread.
There's been a LOT of covers of 90's dance songs lately, here are the ones I can think of off the top of my head.
WARNING - Some videos may contain content that may be NSFW!
Something Good 2008 - Utah Saints
Eiffel 65 - Blue 2009
Cathy Denis - Touch Me 2009
Snap - Rhythm is a Dancer 2009
