I finally managed to make my own video walkthrough series on Hitman: Blood Money. I only have one right now, but it should be decent enough to allow people to see how I play.

A New Life
Minimal violence I like. Never liked the hitman games, stealth shouldn't be about killing and have a hard time playing as a hitman. And they are silly.
Nice, I didn't know you could do the level that way ~:) When I did that level on SA I think I used some semi-exploit where I first stole one of the catering crates when the catering guy saw it, so that I made the catering guy go after me around the corner and ask what I was doing. Since he followed me around the corner, I could comparatively safely sedate him and drop him in the hole in the ground near the exit, after taking his clothes, without anyone watching (if timed well to avoid the runner). Then I entered through the front door and did some sneaking to sedate the wife (difficult while she was moving, though) for her necklace, and sneaked to the computer room to kill the husband. I think I managed to get a guard suit or similar in the pool room in order to get to the top floor. I avoided killing the wife, but the timing was much more difficult and probably not so easy to pull off without the saves you get on the medium and low difficulties.
Cool video, never knew you could use lighter fluid to rig the bbq.
I started of like you did, by sedating the FBI agents in the van, but after that I carefully made my way to the tranquilizer darts in the house to the right of the van. I then used the airgun to sedate the dog, and entered the house (wearing an FBI suit) the same way you did. I then waited for the wife to finish swimming, and sedated her while see was trying to open the door leading to the house. Tricky business as a guard patrols the area, I had to drag her body into the sauna as soon as she hit the ground. Took me a couple of tries to get the timing right.
I then made my way to the room with the big plasma tv, and waited for the primary target to sit down and watch the match. I then fibre-wired him, apparently the guards didn't notice he was dead, as he was still sitting in his chair. Albeit with his head in an awkward position...
Finished by retrieving the suit, and earning the silent assassin rating.
:balloon2:
Next one is up: Curtains Down
What editing program do you use?
FRAPS to record the action, and Windows Movie Maker to edit it. I'm actually surprised at how good WMM is at editing. And since comes packaged with XP and Vista, another thumbs up for being free.
Very interesting. :2thumbsup:
I think I just my purchase Hitman sometime soon. Looks like an...interesting game.
Download steam and purchase the Hitman series (Codename 47, Silent Assassin, and Blood Money) from there for a bundle price (29.99 USD). You'll never need a hardcopy of the games again if you do. Sadly, they do not have Hitman: Contracts in the bundle.
Ugh, Steam.
I'd rather look in a bargain bin. :sweatdrop:
Looks like fun though, wonder what Blood Money costs now.
edit: 22€ on Amazon...
I like how the FBI guy just picks up a strange box of donuts on the ground, takes them to his buddies and woofs them down. I know cops like donuts, but come on. :laugh4:
A Vintage Year is now up. Professional difficulty, but there's virtually no difference between that and how I normally play on Normal anyway.
very nice, and the subtle ad for the org as well
Awesome. :2thumbsup: And I was just playing A New Life the other day.
I like to push the wife down the indoor pool instead of BBQ-ing though. It's funnier considering how the push really isn't that terribly harmful and the water's not even deep.
Also, I hate dogs, so I went into the tree house and sniped the damn canine with a real sniper rifle, silenced of course. ~;) It's also more accurate and doesn't attraction as much attention as the air rifle.
Question though, if anyone knows: If I put the air rifle into the weapon stash at the far east side of the map, do I get to use it in later missions? Also, how do I get past the annoying gardening lady in front of the tree house? Does it count as witness if I just shoot her in the back with the air rifle?
I perfer the dress up as the clown method... very effective for dealing with the lady of the house... :laugh4:
Very nice vids though... Bravo...
Yep, you do. It's only got three shots per mission though.Quote:

Dressing up as garbage man works well. The guy at the garbage truck is relatively easy to sedate or knock out, just keep an eye out for the other garbage dude and the jogger.Quote:

Nope, sedating doesn't impact your rating.Quote:

It works, but disposing of the body by dumping him in the garbage truck (killing him) should keep you from getting the SA level.Quote:

Can you save your progress in these later versions? Bro played one a couple of years ago and it just auto-saved at certain points. Being jumped back several minutes and kills back didn't appeal to my taste so I never touched it. ~:handball:
.
Saving depends on the difficulty level. Rookie allows unlimited saves, but you cannot save in Professional.
The screwed up thing is, even on Rookie your saves will not survive a simple restart mission command.Quote:

So it's like, I killed the Gubernatorial Mistake in that Christmas porn party mission, went to pick up the sausage, tried to throw the sausage to the dog -- and the game crashed! My saves are gone! I have to redo the whole damn mission and can't get the energy for it yet.
I got it at Wal-Mart...
Dang it's hard.
.
Thanks for the info.
So it's still a :rtwno: for me.
.
I too had issues in that mission, but updating the game helped.Quote:

I've seen it in the bargain bin for 10€ before. I wished I had picked it up then though. :shame:Quote:

Ah, things change, have Steam now and bought Blood Money yesterday.
Yes, in a shop, said 10EUR on the package but they wanted only 8.99 at the cashpoint. :beam:
Pretty cheap compared to ~14EUR on Steam.
It's a fun game and your guides were of some help, Kek, though I'm a bit further now. :2thumbsup:
I recently caved in and installed Steam too, haven't bought anything off it yet though (Can you use Visa ? ). I really like the idea of being able to get all those older games at ~20€.Quote:

I'd rather not spoil games for people who want to play them by themselves by making walkthroughs of every level, but they are perfect for people who just want a little nudge in the right direction... specifically a little more spending money in the earlier stages to upgrade equipment and weapons.Quote:

Also doc, I'm using Vista and Steam runs fine, just didn't buy a game yet either.
Steam should be good for 50$ games since that's just about 35 EUR and thus a lot cheaper than buying them at a store here. Like I said I got Blood Money cheaper at a store though.
I prefer Steam versions since real media gets scratched, stepped on, lost, etc. I just wish they had Hitman: Contracts.
Well, done, that was fun. :2thumbsup:
The last mission in particular was very hard though, but it was definitely worth it. Pretty great game I'd say, just too bad that with my schedule it lasted only 2 evenings. :dizzy2:
I'm ordering the Hitman package on Steam now. Which one is best to play first?
Well, Hitman is storyline-based, so you may be confused about a few things if you start with Blood Money or Silent Assassin. I suggest you start at the beginning with Codename 47 so you wont spoil the storyline.
I started Codename 47, and I'm not sure I like it. The controls just seem rather...ugh compared to the Blood Money demo I played. I may just start with Silent Assassin and move to Blood Money, and start 47 later.
DL limits in Belgium make it somewhat of a bad deal though, you get 10Gb in a standard package and have to pay for additional Gbs. I imagine downloading the Orange Box might turn out to be pretty expensive.Quote:

Despite that, no American TV anyway.
And thanks for the link, that guy doesn't look half as cool as the guy in the game but I'll make sure to watch this once it's in the cinemas here. :2thumbsup:
By the way, apparently one can get the Blood Money sountrack for download now.
Cool, I hadn't heard about that movie in quite some time. I wonder if it will bear much resemblance to the game. I must also admit, I find it less interesting to watch it as a movie, than figuring out the plans and such in a Hitman game...
A stealth movie wouldn't be much fun so it looks like it's going to be more action-orientated. I think.
You can say that again- he looks like a dork. My prediction: the movie will be full of suck. :shame:Quote:

47 has only personally seen Diana just two times. It wouldn't be really canon if they did hook up.
I think it would and I got the impression that at least she likes him a lot.
Of course I still wouldn't expect it, actually he seems too worried about his integrity to hook up with anyone.
But then I still have to see the movie because it has a Hind helicopter in it. :sweatdrop:
I wonder if
