Here we go again. Is it not almost a year ago we started this?
Anyway you guys probably know the rules but:
-No massive cropping
-1 screen only
-EB screens only
-Nothing against the org rules
-Submission must be posted before deadline (the 21st)
That the best may win or something.

The two cavalry charges are really beautiful, wspecially the soldier standing on his head in the Ethiopian one.
The censoring thing is interesting too, I noticed something similar on some picture in the non competition thread.

I salivated when I saw that, and in so doing almost choked. Nice shot.
As a side note, minimal UI sucks, it made my shot smaller cropping stuff out than I would have normally.
IMO, its better for shots that you have the full UI, so you only have to crop the bottom and you dont miss anything. with the minimal, you have to take out the top and the bottom......

I really like the last man standing. All of the carnage around him, and yet he still stands ready. The backround of the mountains in the distance is nice too. The whole picture is consistantly dark in color, giving it a hue of sorrow. :7detective:

This must surely be the best selection ever, any other month Barbarian, afzengeier or konny's would win hands down. Can't quite decide which one I like best, I think Barbarian's just sneaks it.

Print Scr, copy to Paint, crop what is necessary and save as png works for me.
xfire works pretty good too, especially if the whole print screen button doesn't work out for ya.
but prnt scrn doesnt work if you have anti-aliasing enabled.....
Its a shame, where people submit really nice screenshots, yet there is always one or two that EVERYone votes for, and it just makes all the other contestants feel crap for not getting any votes at all.
ya..... im actually thinking of not entering anymore.... at least until i get my laptp and get amazing graphics!

I agree with ya NeoSpartan, I still enter pics into the contest, knowing my chances of actually winning is slim to none. But I enter the pics because I think the ones I'm entering are either badass or just cool looking, and that's enough for me.
Well heres my entry, i like it. I think its perfect in terms of right amount of sky, right amount of horse, good angle. Probably my favourite pic ive taken.

You cant just go to UI options and click minimal UI and hide them all? Or is that med 2. U should be able to do it from the menu anyway.
You can do Minimal UI in RTW, but you have to go into preferences.txt and change it manually there...however, if one does that, then it makes it somewhat hard(or, with my experience, have to do more) to crop out things, in essence having to take out more than with the regular UI. For me at least, pressing those F keys did the trick in min. UI....no reason it shouldn't work...
I'm not completely sure what you're trying to say here. If you have the minimal UI you don't need to crop at all. The "F keys" you're referring to are F5, F6 and F7. Hit that and you only have the cursor left, and that's easily cropped out/hidden/edited out.Quote:

It would be so much easier to get good screens if the bloody game wasn't so good you could actually think of something else when you're playing it. Too often do I start fraps and play through epic battles, only to realize in the end that I forgot to take any pictures. :wall:

Yes they were Kelto-Hellenic Hoplites, i was fighting a battle near Capua with my Aedui against romans, i had an army composed of hastati and celtic hoplites. You can train them in Capua as regionals as in Massilian Emporion and other towns
