Mafia - Hosting Queue v. II

As you may imagine, too many mafia games means little interest in each one. Some games I have seen have had voting periods last for more than a few days. Therefore (and for the sanity of the Gameroom moderator), we will have certain limits on the number of games going on at the same time: max. 1 large game, max. 2 small game and no limits on the mini's. Huge games (50+ players) are seldom. When a Huge Game enters the sign up phase, there will be no large game allowed for the duration of the Huge game. Here is what the queue for games that have not yet started should look like at the moment. The ongoing games are listed above (Hosting slot: "name of the game"):

Only mafia game hosts are to use this thread.

Please, use this thread only to post your name - game type (huge, large, small or mini) - (work) title of your game.

For example:

Andres - Large Mafia - The Silly Walk Warriors.

All other posts in this thread will be deleted on sight.

If you're on the queue, you're expected to check this thread on a regular basis. When it's your turn, you have 48 hours to post your game/sign up thread. Unless RL prevents me from doing so, I'll also send you a pm to remind you.

If you're on top of the queue but cannot host, then please send me a PM. In that case the person right behind you can host. If you cannot host again after that game has ended, then you'll be automatically be put at the end of the queue. No exceptions will be made.

If you don't show up at all nor send me a pm, then you're automatically off the queue and you'll have to sign up again in this thread. Don't let this happen too frequently though, or I'll refuse to put you on the queue.

Questions or suggestions can be posted in this thread.

BTW, although this may sound insane, I was looking for something very different to focus my next mafia game on - something odd which would be close to lunacy. The teletubbies fitted the bill well and I came up with a storyline quicker than I envisaged - Tinky Winky, Dipsy, Laa Laa and Po would be the mafioso, the talking flowers the detectives and the rabbits as the townies.

Plenty of roles to be created. My game is going to be fun.

Where did you see a mix of Capo, Il Padrino, Midgard, Teh Oldie Town, some role from Good Cop, Mad Cop, GHville, The Dirty lawyers and The Technological Mafia?

This is gonna to be funny. I'd like to host a Huge game to add those rules and to give all the players good roles, not simples "townies".
I will understand if you dont want to make old Caius to host a huge.

I dont have any reservations, but it seems to be a rather large investment of time. Only thing I would be worried about is all that effort going to waste, if you cant get more than 50.

TBH not a fan of lots of huge ones, the large ones that have good ideas get unplayed (fimbulwinter)

Basically, Team Rocket wants to take over the world and all the Pokemon, etc. etc.

2 Team Rocket members - regular mafia: both agree on one person to kill in the night.
1 Nurse Joy - regular doctor role. protects one person in the night from being killed.
1 Officer Jenny - regular detective role. investigates one person in the night as criminal or innocent.
1 Giovanni - Invisible head of Team Rocket - the regular Rocket members don't know who he/she is. Is seen as innocent if investigated by Officer Jenny. If killed by Team Rocket, the town wins.
7 Regular townies.

Fantastic.. But what happens if Giovanni gets lynched? Does the town still win? If so then towns chance of winning is pretty high

The choice is up to him. I suggest starting, since Capo II entered the end game stage.

Nah, it's more after thinking about it and all the other posts, I probably wouldn't have time or know what I was doing as a host. It didn't seem like a fair game either.

I love the idea. I just think that Giovanni will make the game a little unbalanced

Yeah, I was just trying to spice it up a little so it's not just normal mafia, and I didn't want to make too many people that would get me swamped with PMs :P

Well, you can put it on the queue of the large games. If it gest 50 players, it'll automatically qualify as a Huge one.

Or you can put it on the queue of Huge games, get less then 50 players and still host it as a large one.

And for our resident nitpickers: if you put it on the queue of Huge games and get 50 players or more, then off course, it'll also be a Huge game.

That would be unfair. Andres and I would be the camel killers, that would be obvious.

I'd like to host a game someday. Now's not a very good time, but in three or four months it should be doable. So now would be a good moment to chip in ~;)
