I tried retraining a depleted CA unit,an heir, and on the next turn the entire unit just disappeared http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/eek.gifGood thing I saved the game before I did that.I haven't had any problems with other units being retrained, but this was the first time I tried an heir.Be great if you could retrain your Daimyo for armor and weapons, but I'm hesitant to try it now.Any one else experience this?

Hosokawa,
are you sure about htis?
sometimes the unit retrained doesn't get retrained on the first season b/c of money problems and so it stays in the "to be trained" list.
also, with some units it seems that you have to have certain buildings present at the site to retrain them... oddly enough, the drill dojo is not one of them.

You need a dojo that can create the unit you are retraining, that is all. I haven't checked this, but someone did point out early on that refitting a unit would get rid of a negative honor taisho so perhaps it will kill all taishos. Hmm, I just tried it with a normal taisho in a game and couldn't duplicate it.....

The unit does disappear from service until retrained. So if you're one 120 man units, or if the unit is not at the front of the queue, or you don't have enough koku, the thing will just disappear for a little while and then come back when retrained.

He was an honor 4 heir,I kept track of the koku to make sure I had enough.I also retrained him in the same castle I created him in,so that wasn't it.I clicked and dragged the icon onto the training bar like always.I clicked end turn and poof he was gone. Not in the castle or in any of my provinces. The "insufficient funds"message did not appear. It was pretty weird, make sure you save game before you try this.Has anyone else tried to retrain an heir or their Daimyo?I'm going to try again tonight and see if it will work.
