Hi guineawolf,
I'm not too sure, yet I don't think I have ever seen that strange stat imbalance occur. Perhaps it was fixed in version 1.2 or above?
A lot of units don't match statistics and looks 100% in RTW.
I believe its because unit balancing and unit art get done by different Developers.
but that pharoah guard just remind me of those mummy soldiers in "the mummy 2",still remember that they fighting them in double decker bas?:laugh4:
i think i miss something here, those mummy pharoah guards in the mummy 2 got shields like nile spearmen...
In my game they don't so they probably got fixed in 1.5.
I got 1.5. And I find that they are very vulnerable to missiles.
Maybe it would be better for them to have the shield bonus, since they are quite expensive. And if I remember correctly, they take two turns to train. All this just to get mowed down by horse archers.
even desert axemen is better than pharoah guards...:sweatdrop:
I value the Pharaoh's Guards more than Desert Axemen when fighting armies that rely on heavy infantry like the Romans, barbarians, or Greeks...it's archer/HA-heavy armies that cause them trouble.
You are playing with an old version of Rome.May I ask what version?Quote:
