Does anyone know how to get back fully scalable stacks/banners and general's stars? I know that cegorach changed it intentionally but.. you know.. clickfest each time I want to find one of my generals is really annoying.

Because no one want to answer my questions  I had to figure it out myself.
1. Stars - you can bring back general's stars by simply copy/pasting GenStars.bif from the original MTW's campmap folder. Cegorach replaced it with a blank, transparent file.
2. Stacks - this is much harder if you want to keep new army pieces. Repainting of all army pieces is needed. However, if you are not a big fan of a new stacks' graphic, you can replace them with original ones too.
I really don't understand why Ceg done this. One of the first building you need to build (for further development) is a border tower (1 turn). After it's built there is no point for "hiding" opponents armies because tower shows everything. IMO "hiding" feature only generates unnecessary clicks.
btw in the meantime I replaced my assassins with robin hood. I've been thinking about joan of arc :laugh4: but she will better suit for crusades.
Thanks for this Stazi, might I suggest posting in the Alchemy area of modding rather than in the PMTW forum, as then your post would be easily visible to everyone browsing, and also more likely to attract the attention of experienced modders.
It is very useful to know about the replacement of stars, but as for the army pieces, Cegorach includes the old army pieces for replacement in his patch for 1.5.
I don't like the look of the PMTW pieces, but they are more relevant than the originals.
I also detest clicking on each army, sometimes with great anticipation, only to find two siege engines, or clicking on what would seem an insignificant force to find eight units of Men-At-Arms...
Thanks again! Your efforts are appreciated and I have seen how wise your advice has been elsewhere on the forum too!
IMO it's rather a small discovery and it's directly related to PMTW mod.
Oops. Sorry, I forgot about it.
Thanks for your kind words.
You know.. It's nice to see people still talking about your favorite game 8 years after release.
Sorry for being late. I've found two fixes for PMTW in my archive. I think file names are self-explanatory.
1. PMTW_Campaign_Map_Pieces_FIX.rar
2. PMTW_Missing_Dead_Bodies_FIX.rar
