Hello all, I've recently been doing a lot of playing about with the troopstats and Hecose's Campaign editor, the results of which may or may not emerge into the light. Some questions for the knowledgeable ones:
What does the Phantoms line in Troopstats mean? So far I've assumed it's shapes in the fog or somesuch.
Do unit numbers have a 'glass ceiling' in some places- I can't increase the Kensai numbers beyond 2 or the Mongol cavalry up to 60.
Similarly are there special abilities which can't be altered- such as the Monks effect on non-christians or the Battlefield Ninja. I know that the effect of spears can't be changed for instance.
An annoying aesthetic thing- In the Choose Clans menu the sigs only appear when the mouse is over them (annoying because it took me ages to discover that the other clans could indeed be selected!). I know this can be changed because I've seen it in JDD and other mods but I wasn't sure how.
Is there any way to choose daimyo personalities as well as their rank? If not I'm going to have to compose my own matrixes 'to suit' factions where there is only one daimyo for the game.
I've read Target's posts, anything else like those anywhere on the net?

The Campaign editor is in the tools section of the org James. And another thing, all the Hojo heirs tend to appear together in crap units, do you set them manually in the startpos. file?

the phantoms are a null set. they do little to nothing. i recall something in target's explanation of the stats and him saying something about that one being a 'placeholder' for something else, but that it wasnt really used.
see the re-post i put up about this in this forum somewhere. it's a re-posting of his anwer to questions about what the individual stats do. it got removed when they culled the old posts in the forums. i put it back, thanks to tosa sending me an archive.
