Praise v 1.2 and CTD complaint
A fantastic mod! To be honest, the best I have seen so far in any TW series!...
Lost this whole weekend because I found this mod, LOL. Great work!
Anyway, I am encountering this persistent crash to desktop in North Africa. Playing Romani, all was fine, until I got to a battle next to the town that's the next one going West from Atica (the spot is actually the port: I was blockading it with my army).
A scenario that got repeated 3 times upon turn load follows. A Carthague army would attack me; I would defeat them in a pitched battle on the battlefield; 2nd Carthague army would attack me; I would accept the battle, but while generating the battle map: CTD!... Rinse, repeat... It seems, there must be some map generation bug in that spot.
I guess, my only option is to autoresolve the 2nd battle, but I know I'd lose it on auto :)
ps. there were a couple battle-map load CTDs in other spots, but those did not get repeated on re-load.

Use the tilde key, and type in
auto_win defender
And then autoresolve the second battle. You've won it already, right?

As Bovi said, have you also installed all official fixes? If thats not the case, then the sprite fix is probably the one you need (also install the others).
If your game CTD's when the load meter is half way, probably some unit sprites are missing. Does the CTD army use numidian slingers perhaps?

oh, thanks! i did not notice there were fixes out. i will download and see if that fixes it. i suspect some carthague sprites are missing: the crashes always happen fighting them.

Yes, that (the fix) fixed the problem :)

even though the fixes did resolve the original problem that was the reason for my post. i have to confess, your 'solution' did save me from replaying a couple other pitched battles that resulted in CTD after the battle was won (by me).
