Re: Marian Reforms question
Sorry. Your out of luck. From what I understand of the script once you get Marian reforms the script damages you old Polybian MIC's 100 % every turn. So repairing them just dosen't work. And with a damaged MIC you can't recruit anything.
Don't worry. Many players never get the Marian reforms unless they mod the game to make it easier. The Post Marian Roman units are so cool I doubt you'll miss any of your Polybian ones.
Re: Marian Reforms question
"the script damages you old Polybian MIC's 100 % every turn" - does it damage the camillan ones too??? he is talking camillan eqvites and Pedites Extraordinarii..
I am in my first campaign and havent hit Marian yet.. but even after i hit polubian i kept a one camillan center to train eqvites and camillan triarii...
Re: Marian Reforms question
Same principle. 100 % damage to Camillan MIC. It's a feature to prevent the player and AI from using "outdated" units.
Re: Marian Reforms question
The good news is that you will get Marian MICs placed that are the same level as your damaged Polybian MICs. So you will atleast get good Marian units soon.
Re: Marian Reforms question
Are you sure about that... In my current (first) campaign i got to polybian reforms.. i trait poybian hastati, poybian principe and velite from Arpi, capua and Arretium. I havent upgraded the MICs in Roma and i train Camillan Hastati and Camillan Eqvites from there... When i hit polybian reforms none of my MICs were damaged.
or have i musunderstood.. and you actually mean the camillan MICs will be damaged 100% when i hit Marian reforms?
Re: Marian Reforms question
The camilian & polybian MICs are in one building tree. The marian & imperial are in another. C-->P, nothing happens, you have to upgrade your barracks to get new units. P-->M, the script damages all buildings from the C&P MIC building tree and places a M barracks the same level as the P barracks you had in that town. M-->I, nothing happens, you have to upgrade your barracks to get new units.

Re: Marian Reforms question
Hi, everybody!
I was actually wondering about this too (is that an expression; can you say you're wondering about something? I'm not a native speaker, and I've been... Wonde... Bothered by this little dilemma of mine lately.), so I'd like to thank you all, either for asking or answering (or otherwise ^_^).
