Question regards new building cards.
Hi I hope someone can help. I am trying to incorporate some of the features of "Romasurrectum" for XGM. Specifically I want to add the warports building (an upgrade of the dockyard) to XGM. I have looked in the Scriptorium but cant find an answer there. I think I know how to add the building using hidden resources and which files to edit (all the building text files in "Data" and "Data/text" and also "\Data\world\maps\base\regions") However I dont know where to find the building card for the construction browser or how to swap it over from one mod to the other. Help would be appreciated.
This is all for my own purposes. I just like mucking about with these great mods!
Re: Question regards new building cards.
go into your RS-folder and just search for any file with the name of the level of port
edit;
just realised, you may need to install RS in a different folder than your actual game folder to have some files unpacked .. not sure if thats needed though (else you can always unpack the .pak's and search those as well, most UI-related files do often seem to come packed/are repacked when installing)

Re: Question regards new building cards.
Thanks Red Spot. I had found those files but am unsure how to use them in XGM as the XGM subfolder has no corresponding folder of that name. They also added extra buildings (Grain imports) but am having trouble finding out how and where they added the building card images to the building browser.
Re: Question regards new building cards.
Unpack the "ui" .pak's, than find the vanilla ports, use those as refrence (would be easier for you to "see" the hierarchie of files than me trying to explain it to you) ..
If you dont replace any vanilla files, though I'm not sure about this, you may not need to repack the files, as you dont need to overwrite an existing file.
Anyway to get you going, when you unpack the ui-pak's look in the folders labelled after each culture, buildings are .. er .. "set per culture", not per faction ..

I'll give it a whirl.
