The chevauchee

The chevauchee was a sort of economic war against France. It was basicly destroying/pillaging French land.

How are we going to put this is the game?

I had a few ideas:

1. A preplaced French building that causes unhappiness, descreases growth and money from farms.

2. An English building that can be built in certain Frence provinces when they are captured. This would decrease the growth rate and happiness and generate a lot of money.

3. Somehow increase the speed and area of pillaging that is already in the game.

4. Retinue/VnV that increases management and decreases growth and happiness.

Interesting question, Im open to idea/ thoughts on this subject. I wonder if you could do something with religion and replace it with culture ? as I see little use for religion in this timeframe or region

IE english culture, French culture, scottish culture etc....
