1.2 Patch Help

I do not know where to post this, but this issue has been annoying me. I recently uninstalled my RTW, because I had RTR installed and my friend wanted to play with me.( I deleted all the past folders and files in the directory. ) So I re-installed RTW, put the 1.1 patch on and went to put the 1.2 patch, and it says that 1.2 is already installed. However, the version inside of the game is 1.1, and all the elements of 1.1 are there. My friend had this problem before, and he wiped out his hard drive to fix this...of course he just had the Vanilla copy of RTW, so I don't thing RTR has anything to do with it.
