People went to their beds that night expecting everything to be over. They were convinced that the Jotun threat was dealt with. Heimdall patrolled the area and looked pleased with himself. He too believed the Jotun threat was over. There was however one who had doubts. The old man had looked into the eyes of every condemned and had put the ward of containment on them. None had reacted like a Jotun would. Only the strongest of Jotun could hide their fear. And surely the Jotun would not send their masters to this task. He was in doubt. The presence of three Gods in their midst spoke of dire circumstances. The ways of the gods truly are inscrutable. Why had they come? Why care that two kingdoms were destroyed?... Questions only one could answer. The old man found who he was looking for. “Master I beseech you. I have but a small question.” The other man, an elderly man but not as old as the Hovgod, answered: “Speak you mind child.” The old man bowed and continued: “You walk amongst us and has brought two others. What importance lies in this?” The elderly man known only to a few as Gaute gazed at the Hovgod. “I have come to monitor the Jotun movements. They are up to something and I have come to see what it is first hand.” The old man replied: “I am but an old servant and have served thee all my life. Yet Odin always sends someone else to do his bidding. Forgive me if I sound disrespectful.” The man known to this retinue as Husar smiled. “Yes you are right. I normally do not come in person; it has been several thousand years since last time. I though I needed to fresh up on old tricks. Worry not old friend, I am but a short time amongst you. I needed to get out and used this as an excuse.”

The old man took comfort in this and returned to his resting place. Odin aka Husar walked back to where he slept. There had to be a reason for this slaughter. This was quite unlike the Jotun, to pursue the annihilation of two kingdoms. True they came now and again when they had too much mead in them and killed the odd human. But this was purposeful; an agenda behind it.

He entered the tent and stopped. There in the shadow was a presence, most likely a Jotun.
"Come forward whoever you are, I will not hide this time." From the shadow appeared a huge Jotun. He had to stoop in the tent. The Jotun rumbled: “I knew you were not who you appeared to be. I will have to send you back to Asgard old foe.” Before Odin could react the Jotun had put the confinement spell on him and he could not transform to his true form. “Who are you that know of these things?”
The shadow smiled white fangs, “I am sorry I have not introduced myself, I am Utgard Loke, King of Jotun. It was I who bested Thor in games. It was me who wrought havoc on your kingdom and it will be me who take the throne of Asgard after Ragnarok.”
Odin still in Husar’s form stepped backwards. This was the king of Jotun a formidable opponent and not someone who you could combat whilst not in your true form.
The Jotun followed and they went back outside.
“What are you doing here? Why kill all these innocents?”
“Ah old foe, this is a gift to Hel. She has my brother imprisoned and I want him released. Hopefully these people will please her.”
Odin still backed away. “But these are mostly warriors that will go to Valhalla and eat at my table. Surely you know of this?”
The Jotun continued to smile. “Yes I know, but by killing their lords and their warriors, chaos will reign in their kingdoms. Lot’s of people will die and those are not worthy of your halls. Now we have talked enough.”
The Jotun King made a conjuration “RETURNER HEIM!!“ and Husar was no more.
Odin found himself in Asgard not far from his hall. This was the Jotun King’s round. It would be best if nobody found out about this.

Heimdall was returning home from his patrol and saw the looming shadow standing on the path. Heimdall unsheathed his mighty sword and was ready to battle. The Jotun stood there smiling, the golden eyes glowing in the twilight.
“I see we missed one of you. Prepare to die, Heimdall will send you back to where you came from.”
The Jotun took from his back a battle axe. “You fought well the last time Æsir, but this time you will lose, as true as my name is Rugne, the Jotun Champion of Utgards Loke.”
Heimdall attacked the Jotun Champion and aimed for his heart. The large and strong Jotun deflected Heimdall’s sword easily.
“I am not Loki and he was never good at fighting one on one.”
The large Jotun attacked and all Heimdall could do was to try defending himself from the vicious Jotun axe. The axe was obviously magical because it cut through the blade of Heimdall’s sword like knife in butter.
All Heimdall could do was to wish himself back to Asgard and as the axe of Rugne fell with inhuman speed towards where Heimdall had been, it found only stone ground.
Heimdall was back in Asgard panting hard. To Hel with the lot, he would not lose an arm or worse for some pitiful humans. Best if he didn’t mention this to anyone.

Idun was sneaking around with her apples in a basket. She had orders from Odin to protect two of the men in the retinue each night.
This time she wanted to protect Alexander the Pretty Good.
As she entered the tent, apple in hand, she froze. In the tent two large shadows loomed. Their golden eyes glowed in the darkness.
“Welcome sweet Idun. I take it you want to give us one of those” he pointed at the apple. “Just put all of those apples down sweet Idun and return to Asgard. Your mission here is over. There are non left to save.” Two pairs of white fanged smiles appeared in the darkness.
She realised the truth of the Jotun’s words and wished herself home.
    She vanished in thin air.

DonC was suddenly alone at Gulating. Where did everyone go? As he walked around looking for people, two huge forms appeared on his path. “Who are you?” he asked.
“Someone who wants you dead brave warrior. You can’t escape and tell the tale of all this. It is against our plan.” DonC was not easily scared, all though some falsely thought so. He unsheathed his sword and yelled: “I will not give in easily. I shall fight to the last breath.” He then lifted his sword and attacked the nearest Jotun. He was nearly there when the other Jotun stepped in front with a large Jotun axe and with an unthinkable speed cut DonC in half.
DonC found himself on the back of a horse with a beautiful blond in front of him. He exclaimed: “I thought you Valkyries wore nothing but a bikini made of steel?” The woman in front of him had nothing but a white cloth tied around her waste. “That was last century, brave warrior; we decided to make our warriors a little more welcome. Now hold on, our journey will be bumpy.” DonC grabbed hold on the beauty and was in heaven… twice.

Ok, this strikes me as pretty odd, and you may see why now, this is directly from the file where I saved my PMs during game progress:
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

    Role PM

    Æsir

Odin: The All Father of the Norse Gods, He exchanged one of his eyes for wisdom and knowledge in magical arts. He fathered many gods; amongst them Thor, Balder and Heimdal. He also has two ravens that he sends out during the night and on the morrow they return with tales of the world.

You are a part of the Æsir team. Though all mighty you do not know who your fellows Æsir are. One of the traits of undercover gods is their ability to completely hide from each other. You will seem like an old traveler man to them.
From Hugin and Munin (your two ravens) you learn scraps of information about players. It is for your discretion to piece them together. Each night you pick two players and the ravens will watch them and return with scraps of information.

Your magical ability allows you to place runes on a rune stone that is placed in the center court yard at the ting.
One of the MAFIA roles will have the ability by magic to insert a word or two in this message.
Write out the message to the game host in normal English (in a PM) and it will magically be runeified to the stone. REMEMBER the space on the rune stone is limited. Use quality to quantity.

    Holmgang ability: 7(Æsir)+1(King) = 8

    Investigations

    Hello Sigurd,

I would like to send me birds to Proletariat and Sasaki Kojiro.

The message on the runestone should be:
"be aware of the word of evil"

    [Jotun: thank u sasaki]

    ------------------------------

Tonight my birds should be sent to KukriKhan and Kagemusha.

And the message on the runestone shall be:
"use wisdom keep the heart of a true viking as it will make you succeed"

btw, you don't know how hard it can be to think of a good sentence for the runestone.

    [Jotun: dont trust ichigo]

    ------------------------------

Ok, my birds are supposed to have a look at Tom_Hagen and Redleg.

The message for the runestone is:
    "Your offer is accepted Loki"

    [Jotun: andres is guilty]

    ------------------------------

This night I would like to have a look at Omanes Alexandrapolites the Idiot and Ichigo.

the runestone message for tonight is:
"look how they fight the brave the strong the gods"

    [Jotun: the real loki]

    ------------------------------

So tonight my birds shall scout Crazed Rabbit and sapi.
The runestone message is, well, can I post none for a change?

    (response: yes you may)

    [Jotun: fenring pm jotun]

    ------------------------------

Hey there, I'd like to send me birds to General Hankerchief and Lord Motep of Kendermore.
There shall be no message again.

    [Jotun posted nothing]

    ------------------------------

Hello, I'd ike to have a look at AndresTheCunning and Alexander the Pretty Good.
    No message again.

    [Jotun: read the runes]

    ------------------------------

Hello, I'd like to let me birds have a look at CaiusFlaminius and Stig.
    No message for the runestone.

    [Jotun: well done town]

    ------------------------------

    ------------------------------

    Results

On the morrow Hugin and Munin returned to you with tales of the night.
The birds were not that talkative and were easily distracted.

Hugin who watched Sasaki could only tell that nothing was out of the ordinary with this man. He knew his sword though, or was that mistakenly the word broom; hard to tell in the bird language.

Munin who watched Proletariat had been fed by the woman and was quite taken by her. He had only good things to say. One thing the bird remembered and that was the unmistakably scent of apples around her.

    ------------------------------

As Hugin and Munin returns on the morrow you get his from them:

Hugin who watched Kukrikhan said that this man liked to sleep on the ground close to his sword. He also had some scars.

Munin who watched Kagamusha could only tell a similar story. No other impressions would the birds disperse.

Due to someone protecting you this night you get a temporary bonus point to you Holmgang stat. It will last this round only

    Holmgangstat: 7 (Æsir) + 1 (King) + 1 (Protection) = 9

    ------------------------------

You birds return and starts spilling their guts (not food).

Hugin who watched Redleg start and tells a tale of a man on a horse that delivered a message to Redleg before he went to sleep that night. Apparently it was dire news from home because Redleg swore at reading this and hastily made a reply before sending the man on the horse back to where he came from.

Munin who watched Tom Hagen had nothing much to tell except the man sitting awake in front of his tent all night cradling his sword.

    ------------------------------

As the birds return Hugin who watched Omanes had this tale: This fellow smelled of royalty.

Munin said: This fellow Ichigo sleep on the ground with no tent and keeps his sword well honed.

    ------------------------------

    Hi...

Idun protected you this round and you get a temporarily increase in Holmgang ability (only for this round).

    Æsir (7) + 1 (King) + 1 (protection) = 9

Your birds have this to tell:
Crazed Rabbit sleeps outside and has a well tended sword.

sapi sleeps in a tent and have a little nobility over him.

    Sigurd

    ------------------------------

Hi.. this is second try as the org ate the first one.

Your birds have the following tales:

GH seemed like enjoying cooking and had fed the Raven. He had calluses on his hands; from sword or broom? Hard to tell in the bird language.

Lord Motep skulked around, keeping close to another. The reason for this the bird never examined.

    ------------------------------

You were not protected this night...

The birds return with these answers:

Andres seems like a guy liking his duties.
    He is hiding something.

Alexander tPG is taking orders and giving orders.
A man with a heavy duty.

    Sigurd

    ------------------------------

The birds return with these tales:

CF seemed too tired to do anything other than rest.

Stig smelled of royalty, yet was not royal.

    short after that:

    You were protected last night.

this gives you a temporary extra point in the Holmgang.

    Holmgang ability: 7 (Æsir) + 1 (King) + 1 (protection) = 9

Didn't bother to format the texts and bold the names again(except in the results), but the results on Andres and Motep said they had something to hide or were sneaking around(weird for simple townies, isn't it?), while the alibi of Stig and AtPG was supported(wasn't sure about Stig, but AtPG sounds like the perfect Jarl). I still don't know what to make of this.
I feel a bit tricked actually.

Judging by Sigurd's sadistic tendencies, that is what I think, yes.
I would even think he did that only to confuse me, after our last chat.
I don't know whether I love him or hate him now, but I certainly do want to thank Prole(since I investigated her), Seamus(since he asked for people's PMs) and Sasaki(since last weekend) for helping me and replying to (most of) my PMs whatever the result may be.

OK, confession, this time for good...

This is what I posted and then edited out:

    Several confessions:

My Holmgang was actually 7, like all Æsir. Heimdall and I had equal chances of winning.

All the Holmgang scores I spoke of were pure luck. I just got good at guessing.

Ichigo is definitely someone special though. No, he never said he was Jotun to me, and I confirm his set of PM's to be true, but I really doubt he is a War Veteran. Even Seamus Fermanagh was more skeptical of me. The fact that Ichigo knew me and my role is too much of a coincidence.

I actually could get killed by Jotun at night (Sigurd Fafnesbane never said anything about immunity). I just used that to keep to Jotun at bay while I did my thing.

Ichigo was the perfect victim. He dug his own grave. it was so easy to manipulate him and you...

Loki did his job good, no?
So, again, a very sincere apology for nagging Ichigo the way I did. He was a good sport, give him a hand. Also to Sasaki Kojiro and Husar who I was a bit terse with. Again, just the character talking. You'll all receive preferential treatment and be spared from the list for awhile (like Pannonian in Mafia VI).

    Good game all!

Now, here is my real PM (I take it we can post screenshots now?):

Here is Sigurd Fafnesbane telling me Alexander the Pretty Good was Jotun:

Here is my PM to Alexander the Pretty Good, we were talking a bit through this:

Sorry, guys, but I did what I had to do: make it hard for you.

It was only natural that I join Jotun...

Good game again, loved it Siggy-F, perhaps my favorite game ever...

This was actually the only game I put a bit of effort and a lot of thought into, if Sigurd really gave me misleading results(townies hiding something etc), ah well, I better just try to forget about it.

edit: I'm addicted, can't help it. two notes:
    1. I was very suspicious of Stig because he always said I was right. But all my info, well, you know(I feel like a whiner, probably because I am one)

    2. Why was Warluster greeted by a blonde woman if he was Jotun? I'm sorry, but this whiner here demands a few answers about the game and the info he got from Sigurd once he wakes up today.

    Stunned, am I. (Pleasantly)
I never suspected the revealed Jotun. I thought I read reliable vouches for all 3 of them. The plethora of roles above and beyond:

6 Lords – this will be the Jarls and petty kings of Hordaland
    3 Jotun – the Mafiosi
    Pro-town roles
Townies (various roles in the retinue of the lords)
tells me I was part of some much larger role-playing factor I was not aware of, to start - making 'life' as an ignorant townie that much more "stabs in the dark".

I'll put my non-understanding of "Pro-town roles" (and the depth of those roles) to my n00bishness, and admit that it explains much of the bickering that brought us to 1500+ posts in this thread/game. Players were just playing their roles.

gg all. And thanks to Sigurd
Be well. Do good. Keep in touch.

    Jeez you guys are gullible.

Sir Moody – Champion (DoH) HA: 4
In that Camp Sir Moody slept next to his Frankish sword. He was very proud of that sword and he had honed it that night. He barely awoke as he was hoisted into the air by a very strong hand around his throat. His brain never registered the pain as his neck broke by a quick twist of another strong hand.
    AndresTheCunning – townie HA: 2
sapi - Jarl in Sogn HA: 5
Sapi made the first move and got in a hit on Andres.
This made Andres really mad and he tore his tunic off. In bare serk he continued to fight, blood streaming down his left shoulder where he had received the wound.
Somehow the wound didn’t affect him. He attacked sapi and in a vicious combination delivered several slashes and wounds to sapi. Sapi could only put up a meagre defence against this raving Berserkr. Sapi was tiring but Andres was not, he continued to attack and with a wild combination of slashes, cuts and stabs he finally reached the heart of sapi who went down face first in the dirt.
Don't feel like quoting the "stig equally matched with CountA" description.

You are a part of the Jotun team which is the MAFIA in this game. Your winning condition is to kill all the Midgard Lords gathered at Gulating. In addition there might be a Norse God amongst them: this God must be dead for you to win the game. You do have the power to kill this God You do have the power to kill this God but you will have to do t
    wo attempts.

Your partners are Alexander the Pretty Good and Warluster consult with them in your strategies towards winning this game.
One of you should PM me with your kill description before the deadline every night.
I will post the deadline after every lynching.

As long as you are two or three you will be able to attempt murdering 2 players. Once or if your numbers drop to 1 you will only be able to kill one player.
In your Pm to me you will have to name the Jotun players that will do the killings that night. If you believe you are attempting to kill a God you could write the killing as if it were one kill and name two Jotun doing the killing. You have the option of not submitting a kill or attempting only one kill with one Jotun; all a choice of strategy.

As a magician you can counter the ability of one of the pro-town roles. This pro-town role writes a message on a rune stone. Your ability is to obfuscate this message by inserting 3 words to this message. PM me with the words and where to place them (you do not know the content of this message and you should pick the insertion point based on luck e.g. 1st word: Guilty, insert after word number 4) if there are fewer words in the message than what you indicate it will be inserted at the end.

    Holmgang ability: 7(Jotun)+1(King) = 8

Don't feel like quoting the "stig equally matched with CountA" description.
Well maybe that about the God making you go berserk is right, hench why Andres beated Sapi, besides Andres had a 29% change of winning. Arach had a 27% change of winning against me, that's about 50% change on a even fight.

    Default Re: The Midgard Saga

My short summary, Jotun point of view:

    Night 1:
We started with 2 simple and random kills, we could target anyone, as we were the only bad guys. So I picked two random names (eena meena mina moo) from the list and we killed them. Next to that I send in the words: "Thank you Sasaki" to be placed at the end (positions 1001, 1002, 1003) of the message on the Runes, in the hope to make Sasaki suspicious.

    Day 1:
Well things seemed good for us. The town started discussing about broadswords and all other things, even tho we simply killed 2 random persons.

    Night 2:
Night 2 featured two random kills again. I simply got two from the list again and Warluster and Alex agreed. Next to that I send in the words: "Don't trust Ichigo", hoping I could make Ichigo suspicious. By now I knew that it would to hard to simply disrupt messages so I decided that from now on I would simply add things to the front or back.

    Day 2:
Day 2 showed us normal discussion, apart from no-one knowing who to go for. But then of the Jotun, only I was active. Lurking does pay off. Next to that there was no lynch, showing me that the town really had no clue who to go for.

    Night 3:
This night I wanted to frame Motep. Killing both Orb and BK, who both voted for him. I really could see Motep, as a mafia, doing this, also seeing as he kept posting about Orb going after him and such. Unluckely it failed since Motep was also in the Holmgang, which meant that it would be hard to drop the hint as why would Motep both Holmgang and kill, killing would be enough.
Next to that I inserted the words: "Andres is quilty" to keep the town busy, obviously no townie seemed the read the Runes.

    Day 4:
This night featured the reveal of Reenk the invincible God, his job to cause chaos, and then join town or Jotun (well I've never been in contact with him). He wasn't irritating imo, but it would be strange not to vote for him, as almost everyone believed he was quilty, so I decided to go first in voting for him, no Jotun would vote for another Jotun this early imo. Then suddenly Seamus came on and he wanted to Holmgang Reenk, well no problem imo, it only worked for us, as it meaned that we would lose atleast one of them. The town suddenly started voting for Disco, dunno where they got that from.

    Night 5:
This night featured all sorts of people not listening and going on and challenging, but then Seamus Vs Reenk would go first anyway. While doing this we decided to make Seamus mortal and to kill Redleg, for being a lord (this were Warlusters ideas, I wasn't convinced Redleg was a lord ... why would he make it public?). Next to that I inserted the following words: "The real Loki", in the hope to frame the one who was really inserting the Rune messages.

    Day 5:
Day5 featured some "good" town work again, Sasaki especially was jumping from vote to vote, as clearly no-one had a clue who was the real Jotun, but abstaining would make you look like one, as we were too far ingame. Then Ichigo, somehow decided to commit suicide, strange, why use a vote for that, do that afterwards.

    Night 6:
Night 6 featured a mistake by us, for attacking Seamus again, he couldn't do anything, he had nothing more but the powers of a weak townie now. Next to that I thought it was time to get rid of Sasaki, I wanted to do that on night 6, but we decided it would be better to attack Redleg that night.
Next to that I added the words: "Fenring the Jotun", as he was inactive I thought it would be a good change to frame him on the long term ... as no-one read the runes anyway.

    Day 6:
Day 6 featured me using the fake Champion PM for the first time (well next to sending it to Seamus) by sending it to Sasaki, to put me and Alex in the innocent box, as we were champion and king. Next to that Warluster did get killed, but then not a very big loss, as the town believed he was innocent afterall and we still had 2 kills a night.

    Night 7:
This was the night in which we accidently challenged Count Arach, but then all turned out well after, helping me even more to prove the point I was a innocent Champion. Next to that we decided we should kill CR and Husar, both were to completely random kills, as we knew nothing about them. I forgot to enter something on the runes actually.

    Day 7:
Day 7 was the day that Sasaki was on the completely wrong trail, as he believed my innocence, so he thought he should seek out the townies. The clearly innocent Motep was killed, everyone could see he was innocent imo, he hadn't been on for a week.

    Night 8:
This night we decided to kill Prole and Pever, Pever for become to strong in Holmgang (by now he could come near my 9) and Prole since we didn't know her role. The kill on Prole obviously failed as she proved to be a Goddess, but Pever was taking out. Next to that I inserted the words: "Read the Runes" as I was fed up with people not reading runes. Plus I was convinced that by now we killed the fella who made the rune posts in the first place.

    Day 8:
Andres was lynched, as he won against Sapi (29% change, that's big enough to stand a change) and since he didn't go to Valhalla after everyone was convinced they killed a Jotun, well ofcourse not he killed a king.

    Night 9:
Me and Alex killed Omanes and Kukri, Omanes for being a lord and Kukri because I thought he had the doctor role (I thought we only had 1 god, so that would make Husar and Prole innocent townies (as they would be protected), but they turned out to be gods). Next to that Caius and GH holmganged, couldn't be better. Then I entered the words: "Well done town" as they did well, well well for me.

    Day 9:
Easy lynch on Caius, as he won against GH with ease, but then that change was there. it was 50-50, with a bit of luck one of them went into berserk mode, could have easely been GH, after which we would lynch him. Problem was that Fenring was lynched as well, I didn't like that since I was going to give him the Jotun role, so things become difficult for a minute.

    Night 10:
Alex at first wanted to kill 1 person only. But when we killed 2 we would win, as it would be 2 vs 2 left, both Alex and me could vote for the same, making a tie, since here that would mean no lynch we could then kill the following two.

All in all good game guys

I might disclose a few things before the full write up... since I sense you guys are a little confused over the recent events.

    Holmgang

I disclosed my method to two people and yet they never “caught on”. I also leaked some info here and there to the people in the chat; some where true and others ambiguous at best. My intention was to build a little Holmgang application. However as I didn’t realise that I was up for hosting my game I had to make short cuts. I came up with the pieces of paper in a bowl. These pieces was marked and folded twice.
Let’s take Andres’ fight against sapi. Andres had 2 and sapi 5. I put two pieces of paper with a red dot into the bowl and 5 pieces of paper with a blue dot into the bowl. I also put the draw piece with a green dot on totalling 8 pieces.
I mixed them around and placed the bowl on my head (silly but fair as I wouldn’t see the pieces). I pulled out a red dot. This meant that Andres was down to 1 – 5. Normally sapi would easily win this. I then proceeded to pull put 5 blue in a row and the only thing left was a green and a red. I pulled out the green and a red remained. This meant that Andres had won. Now how to narrate this? I came up with the Berserkrgangr. The only ‘logical’ way for a inferior warrior to win a fight. This became the norm for the underdog winning. I though people would catch this.
I have found new respect for random numbers and picking out of a bowl. Nearly all the Holmgang (clearly exception: Orb vs. Motep 0-3 ) was undecided until the last piece of paper.

Hugin and Munin (the ravens of Odin)

The birds of Odin were going to be supplementary to the ability of Heimdall. It first seemed a little unbalanced that the Gods could investigate 3 players each night. The info from the birds was therefore only scraps. And all messages were correct but out of context. When I realised that Odin was a smart man and deducted that Prole had to be Idun based on the bird message, I was a little worried that the messages was too informative. I toned them down a little.
The War Vets slept outside and had well tended weapons. I also put something in that reflected recent events. CF having fought a Holmgang = tired. DonC attacked by Jotun = sleepless and weapon in hand. When Husar asked me if reinvestigating players would reveal more info I was a little reluctant of answering clearly as I had been ‘helpful’ earlier. Reinvestigating players would reveal deeper things.

Well, the first were fine etc and I could even understand the "recent events" stuff concerning DonC and CF, the problem was that AtPG was "giving and taking orders" which was soooo fitting of a Jarl that I had never ever gotten the idea that he could not be a Jarl.

That was pretty fair I have to say, wanted CF lynched mainly because Stig and AtPG had such a solid alibi according to

Yeah, I already realized that talking to you in the chat was the worst of my mistakes.
    Sigurd To your question (PM)
    Husar yes
Sigurd I have not made up my mind about birds visiting several times
Sigurd I guess it is allowed
    22:58 Sigurd Good thinking tho
Sigurd It might reveal deeper resutls
Sigurd on second or third visitation
22:59 Husar well, if a Jotun is inactive
Husar maybe he returned something innocent
    23:00 Sigurd could be
well, and then there was this in the last night:
Husar I don't need to PM you, really
Sigurd but did he attack Jotun?
Husar except if double-checking would yield new results
    Sigurd it might
23:09 Husar you hadn't made up your mind last time
    Sigurd my mind is clear
Husar I can survive the night anyway if prole gets a PM in
Sigurd new investigation will reveal deep results
    Husar ok
23:10 Sigurd and are you sure you investigated all?
Husar then I will double-check AtPG and Stig just in case
    Husar yes, all alive
    Sigurd alright
Well, you see there is a certain suspicion of AtPG and Stig but I never even started a second investigation because deep in my heart I knew that prole would not PM Sigurd and protect me(she was very restricted lately, took her days to read my PMs etc) and thus I knew that if they were Jotun, we had lost anyway.
Well, turns out my worst nightmare became true, Sigurd shall now be deleted from the list of my friends for leading me astray.
Prole needs some whooping for inactivity in vital stages of the game.
And Stig who really, really screwed me with that fake PM he sent Seamus is my new hero now for faking ability(I'd really like to see that PM, Stig, maybe you can post it here?)

    Well done Jotun!

Very Enjoyable Game Siggy!!!! Hope we get another a few months down the road -- let Frey, Hel, Surtur etc. come out to play!

I had some doubts about Stig after he PM'ed me, but got so caught up in the other issues of the moment that he wasn't cross-checked. The raven info on AtPG was enough to let me back-burner it. That was enough of an edge for them to take us to the cleaners - well done on the part of the jotun.

    Valkyries

The valkyries that greet the warriors of men.
I hadn’t planned to put them in to the stories, but as soon as I did I realized that it would be another unbalanced feature. But as you look closely Warluster was greeted by Hel on his death. No horses or blonds mentioned. I also had to update Dutch_guy’s death. Townies without war experience had not been proved in battle and hence did not qualify for Valhalla. War Vets and Champions had proved themselves worthy before coming to Gulating. Even if they died in their sleep they were collected by the Valkyries.

Well, now that we lost I can be honest.
In this game, given my role, I relied mostly on what I had as "facts", I completely blended out any kind of emotion. I actually found you and CF quite believable, especially during the night, I might have evn challenged Stig had there not been what I thought was "evidence" of your guilt and him being champion. I noticed especially that he asked for a list of kings and champions and that he always said I were right, without my "investigations", I had most likely suspected him, but I guess I should have chosen the more emotional "gut feeling" kind of approach.
I actually had this approach at the start and it was the reason I had a look at Kukri, he was so helpful and nice, I suspected him. Well, my aim was to have an investigation on most or all people who would be alive towards the end and know for sure who was guilty and the more investigations I made, the more I relied on the "evidence" I had, not knowing that it was completely false and that by blending out any emotional approach I was dooming myself and the town.

Sasaki and GH clearly showed a broom reference, I knew they were townies, but you andres, as you know, returned a "he has something to hide." which I saw as a very strongindicator of guilt, in the beginning I tried to look for very small hints in the results and thought finding the Jotun with my "investigations" would be extremely difficult but once I had the results for Motep and you, it all looked so clear, why would a townie have something to hide? Well, I still don't know.

I like the idea, but wouldn't it be better for everyone to send in their role?
I'm not going to publish a list that dooms the town.

I am going to assemble a list privately detailing all of the information I am getting (multiples sources) so as to cross-deck them and find who's spoofing us. I'll then provide THOSE names to be lynched and/or holmganged.

That doesn't really make a difference, according to what he sent me(I quoted it) you asked for a list, to me that would have been suspicious if you hadn't had an alibi. And I'd still like to see that PM, Seamus never showed me the evidence itself, only his interpretation, and I mostly trusted his judgement. I'm just curious what exactly you made up there that Seamus thought it was genuine.

At some point I was expecting to die or at least get targeted because I was throwing around seemingly baseless accusations. But I actually calculated with Prole being able to save me for two rounds plus my extra life so once we were getting close to the end and my information was almost complete, I could afford being a bit more careless I thought.
