Something that is good is always worth waiting.
Let me explain what I meant with the armour part; The basic reiter armour is fine since some hakkapeliittas had a breastplate and a helmet. It would require least editing. Some had a breastplate and a funny hat like those of arquebusiers. Some were unarmoured and most likely resembled MTW2's arquebusiers. Those unarmoured riders would probably require most editing.
--> They may look like reiters or like arquebusiers or something in between. For example; If you have 2 reiters you may take the other's helmet and give him a funny hat or let them both look like original reiters. Or you may fetch an arquebusier's shirt and give it to a reiter. Its fine for me any way; They all seem to be historically accurate. It's up to you; you are the artist.

The reason why I wanted one white horse to the sig is that the hakkapeliittas rode finnhorses. White finnhorses are extremely rare, almost a legend of some kind. May I add a little requiest? No more than one white horse please? They wouldn't be rare if every cavalryman rode them.

Glad you like them ! Well I've been having a hard time with some of these requests, they are hard. But I'm getting there, I think. It's been very good for me and I've learnt a lot thanks to these requests.

Try this:

• Click User CP
• Click Edit signature
• Copy paste the following in your signature field:

• Delete the two *s
• Click Save Signature.

That should work.

Just a little note. I cannot handle any further requests submitted after this post, for a while. This thread coupled with sigs I'm doing for the Broken Crescent mod is taking all my time and as much as I'd like to, I would'nt be able to complete any more for like at least a week I think. Actually, you CAN use it, Sinan. My inquiries about raising sig size limit have turned up a very useful tidbit: in the User CP, there is an option under Edit Options->Thread Display Options->Broadband. It's a tick box to enable yourself as a broadband user. Ticking it to "On" allows you to see a second Signature image for any user that has one listed, and this image is allowed to be 500 x 200 and up to 100KB. You'll find your slot to list that larger image under User CP->Edit Profile->Additional Information->Extra Signature Picture. I have one up right now, which you should be able to see if you enable yourself as a broadband user. It's nothing fancy, just a screenshot that I resized to the appropriate dimensions to screw around with it, but should let you know if you've done everything correctly.

With this new discovery in mind, perhaps this thread can now include larger sig shots up to 100KB? I'll let that up to you of course, but it might be cool to let users specify which they want designed, and to sorta promote the broadband signature picture slot as a result.

That's very true actually ! I knew this but never used it for myself. Absolutely if people want to use the 100kb limit that's waaay better to work with. I have always had the broadband selection on and you're the first one I see the second sig for. It's neat ! Beautiful colors.

If so, then yeah you're getting the idea! I actually was able to get one of my desert shots to look foggy by rendering clouds in a new layer and playing with the brightness, contrast, and opacity of that layer. Helps a lot to desaturate the sky too, as a cloudy sky becomes really murky and fog-like if all the colors are removed. Glad to see you're getting good mileage out of the cloud rendering.

Patience. I'm guessing that as a junior member you can't link to an outside website for your sig because sig spam could become a problem w/ some junior members. The time required to become a regular member is not too much IIRC, and getting that far means you can be trusted more as a serious forum member instead of potential trouble-maker. Not that anyone thinks of you that way Shifty, I'm just trying to explain the likely cause for such a rule (that is admittedly frustrating when you're new). I'm sure it really does help keep the forum a lot nicer/cleaner than it might otherwise be. Don't worry though... one day soon when you're not really thinking about it, you'll realize you got upgraded to member status, and then you have a much longer leash including exterior sig links.

In other news, while Sinan is out of action I can at least try to keep the ball rolling by providing screenshots for people's sig requests. Heck, I may even complete some requests if he doesn't get back to it for a bit. So if you have something in mind for a sig, just drop the request in here like usual or leave a screenshot request in the screenshot request thread, and I'll get started on the screenshot. Note that it's recently been brought to light that everyone has what I'm calling a Sig+ picture slot that can be used for an extra sig picture up to 500 x 200 and 100 KB. Needless to say you can get tons better quality from a 100KB jpg than a 10KB one, so from now on requests can be made for either one, and you should make sure to specify the size you want when requesting something so as to avoid confusion. Anyone interested in seeing the difference can check out the link in my sig to enable the sig+ pics and have a look at mine. It should be pretty obvious how much better the second one is.

I especially like the light effect you added in Kobal's shot. I wasn't aware that they had invented electrified pikes in medieval times, though. But then again I guess those Spanish are crafty, and lord knows the tercio is one of the premier pike units of the time, so I wouldn't put anything past them! Still, it looks like that should hurt A LOT more than the silly pointy end of the pike. So, no wonder the guy went flying. Ouch!

On a related note... How do I get those in the campaign?!?!? Is that what weapon-upgraded pikes look like? I mean I know the upgrade gives a +6 attack bonus, but jesus...

Next thing ya know my knights with weapon upgrade will turn into Tesla Tanks. Oh wait, that whole unit evolution thing is a Civ gimmick. NM. Though it might be nice to have a Tesla Tank in M2TW especially for those pesky assaults. Can you see those zaps of electricity going through the portcullis to barbeque the men trying to defend it? Oh yeah, I smell a mod coming on. Medieval 2: Red Alert? Maybe Command & Conquer: Total War. I'm open to suggestions.
