But its not day yet...
But its not day yet...
Beefy and Boudica?
I shudder to think.
Or beefy and Sigurd?
I really hope this is a day phase or that we won. I will be amazed if not.

Beefy and Sigurd were the mafia.
I cannot believe it.

Chief Vonken paced about the station entrance, feeling highly agitated. He glanced back to his watch again. “8:58. Damn.” The Chief stepped back into the station quickly, to double check that his files were all in good order. Five minutes later, he came back outside, entirely surprised to find that Boudica, Sigurd, and Beefy were all present and waiting for him. All three wore dark, pinstriped suits. A fedora curiously adorned each head. The Chief cleared his voice before speaking. “Well, it seems that this is it. Last night, both taka and White_Eyes were murdered.” It seems that there is still at least one present killer amongst us. However, fear not. I finally made good contact with the new Mayor of Chicago. Seems he knows who is responsible for the killings. He should be here soon.” Boudica, Sigurd, and Beefy all looked at each other. “Well? Isn’t this great?”
“Actually…” two voices uttered slowly…
Before either could react, Beefy and Chief Vonken found themselves on the receiving end of two loaded pistol barrels each. The two raised their hands slowly, to indicate complete disarm. Boudica and Sigurd had, in a flash, pulled twin pistols each from their suit coats, each aiming a pistol at both Beefy and Chief Vonken. “You say the new Chicago mayor is coming to dear Cicero?” Boudica queried. “That’s good. Very good, in fact. We’ve got a dear friend coming in town as well. We can have a lovely time, I’m sure."
“You two?!” the chief shrieked. "It’s been you? You’ve killed all these innocent people? For what? What purpose can be had from our poor town?!”
As the chief finished, a sleek, armored, forest green Cadillac Town Sedan strolled up Jefferson Avenue, pulling to a stop just outside the station. Two large, burlesque men stepped out; each dressed quite nicely with suit and sunglasses. Each carried, in contrast to their suave appearance, a very brutal looking machine gun in their hands. One circled around, while the other helped someone step out of the door. From the passenger side of the car stepped out an olive-skinned, baby faced man. With a nice suit and fedora, he appeared a match for the well dressed folks at the entrance of the station. The man pulled a cigar from his coat pocket. The guard who helped him out of the vehicle struck a match and lit the cigar as it was held out.
“Thanks bud.” The Italian thanked his thug, before taking a couple of puffs on the cigar. “Well, looks like this is pretty well wrapped up, isn’t it. Good job.”
“Thanks boss!” Boudica and Sigurd eagerly thanked him.
“Well now… I believe you’re Mr. Vonken, eh?” The man asked the Chief.
“Yes… and you must be Capone,” the Chief responded.
“Yeah. Hey, you ain’t half as dumb as you look right now,” Capone taunted. “What’s the matter? Couldn’t even keep two meager assistants of mine in check? What a joke… I should have come here ages ago. I think Cicero will make a real nice base.”
“It’s too late!” Vonken crowed back to him. "The mayor of Chicago is already on his way here, along with an escort. You’ll never be able to use Cicero as a base, NEVER!” A smug little grin overtook both men’s faces. Capone strolled up to Vonken. Just as he opened his mouth to speak, a roaring engine was heard, coming from down the street. An armored police vehicle screamed down the street, screeching to a halt in front of the station. The Chief glanced up to the watch on his upheld wrist. “Right on time…” Chief Vonken's grin spread wider his face. It faltered, however, when Capone's own grin matched it.
Four men practically tumbled out the car. Mayor Dever, Lieutenant Jefferson, and two armed police officers. The two officers immediately raised pistols and came to the front, while Capone’s two guards raised their assault weapons. Capone quietly reached for his own pistol, as did Dever and Jefferson who brought up the rear of the officers.
“I knew it was going to be you, Capone!” Dever declared. “I knew you would run like a scared cat from Chicago when I became mayor. Just as I predicted, here you are. Killing innocents as always, trying to scare others into submission. Well, it is OVER for you."
“Really?” Capone responded. He shot a glance to one of his employees. “I think it is over for YOU.” Then, softly, he whispered. “Now…”
A loud bang shot out, causing several head’s to swivel to the source. Dever looked to his chest, as blood drained from a hole in his right breast. Shock overcame his face. Turning his head to his right, to the one man at his side.
“Jefferson? You…?” With that last word, Dever fell to the pavement. The officers looked on in shock. Jefferson merely turned his pistol to the officer on his right, while Capone raised his to the second officer.
“Well, boys,” Capone spoke. “You got two options. Lay down your weapons. Or die. Your choice.” The two officers, ever so slowly, set down their weapons before raising their hands in mimicry of Beefy and Chief Vonken. Once again, softly, Capone uttered the word, “now.” The two thugs blasted their assault weapons, blowing the unarmed officers away. The two collapsed not far from their Mayor, blood staining the pavement below. Capone turned back to Chief Vonken, whos face was set in complete shock, his jaw hanging slightly, though his hands remained up. A triumphant and gleeful smile overcame Capone’s face. “Now, now, what were you saying, Mr. Vonken? I think it’s time for us to have a little party…”

Ugh...
I shouldn't have waited that last round to do my analysis.
Congrats, guys...

This one's gonna hurt for a while.
I was on the right track saying to go for those who never attracted any suspicion last round.
I just never bothered to make the connection.![]()

Commentary will likely be up later tonight, or, at latest, tomorrow.

VERY GOOD GAME Boudica/Sigurd, well done.
My choice was them two UNTIL ANDRES went and did what he did ¬.¬
well, guess its my own fault for getting distract and going off plan.
once again, very good game
It won't hurt you guys like it hurt me.
Witness now the epic failure of the pizzaguy... whose analysis system does identify what kinds of behavior have happened, but only under skilled hands can that lead to the truth about who is really playing whom.
Dropping out of these games was a brilliant move by Boudica. Two or more games is a good alibi. But I should have known...
Both Beefy and Boudica were opposed to me the entire time. I went after Andres and Tincow for the same reasons.
Had Andres or Tincow ever backed off their dismissiveness of me, it might have dawned on me to look for more suspects.
I have to go now... I have a lot of weeping and sobbing to do... good luck in Ephesus... if we win that one, and Ibn-Khaldun was mafia, I will be redeemed somewhat.

DID I NOT BEG YOU MULTIPLE TIMES TO KILL SIGURD???
Great job as always Siggy, and good to get your first win alive boudica.![]()

Really excellent job with the lurks.
Lesson learned, Pizzaguy:
The analysis system works only when you use it on everyone, and lurkers are 50/50 scum. The system won't prove if a lurker is innocent, that's a judgement call. Judgment calls require a human being to decide something. All the data in the world.... doesn't matter then.
Not everyone who opposes you to their dying breath, stubbornly, is guilty. They're just stubborn. Stubborn as you are.
Lesson learned, Tincow:
I will never be quiet if you don't listen to what I have to say. And if that happens, I probably will miss the other suspects. Give me a chance next time, wouldja? Now you know how suicidal I am with my life.
Lesson learned, Andres:
If you deny everything I say has merit, when you know better, I will always think you're scum.
Lesson learned, town:
Lynch the lurkers, please. No excuses.
Lesson learned, mafia:
Beefy left all kinds of tells. You know what to avoid next time.
+2 massive apologies to TC and Andres.

Och, I was not expecting that.
Congrats mafia and thanks for hosting 'khaan!![]()
Well done to both Sigurd and boudica. I don't think I ever really suspected either of them. I don't seem to be very good at these 'classic' games that require good post-analysis skills.
Oh what?
I really need to get more sleep. I am not reading clearly.
I swear I thought it was still beefy. Too many games at once

I just want to apologise to Andres for the PM I returned regarding this game.
To my defence he contacted me IC and I answered him IC. I put some stuff in there that I knew Andres wouldn't publicise. I basically said that I was just being nice to seireikhaan by joining his game. That I didn't really wanted to play.
You now all know that this is not true. I was very much active by communicating with boudica and writing kill descriptions.
Shewill beis a very good Mafia player. I didn't think I would have lasted as long as I did, but I had full confidence that she would pull it off eventually.
The town had some beautiful friction going and we just pulled up chairs and shared a bucket of popcorn. We killed top suspects to throw in added paranoia in the town. It seemed to work. I think GH spotted this and gave his correct thoughts on it.
We had originally planned to keep the old vets into the final rounds, but RR got my detective detection device ringing. TinCow was lynched and we couldn't change that. We took GH out to possibly add some extra friction and confusion. Did it work i wonder? Andres we kept as long as possible. I would have kept him and lynched taka instead, but ... the game needed to end. I am a risk-taker, but with limits.![]()

So why on earth did you two kill me! Gah!
And I hope that you will all participate in my Large Game - Dark Vacuum. And no excuses! I play in every last game that comes up, no questions asked, and then run two games! So!
So, am I right in thinking that there was no detective at all?
Couple quick notes-
1) There was no detective.
2) I believe we can now coin the term "Curse of 'Khaan". See final results and tallies of the 4 other games I've hosted and you'll understand why. I'll explain in further detail later when I can get a proper commentary put together.
