No, a block would not have negated a kill - and only shlin sent in his order, no one else did, so for that night, the Ghosts did nothing.

QJC I knew you were an unwitting bad guy even though you didn't.
I had suspicions of Sigurd from the start (I even told glyphz and White eyes not to speak with him).
Then I insisted he showed me his PM.
Here is when I realized what a bad situation I was in:
Note the cover as the Mafia thing? I knew he was not really our family then.Originally Posted by Sigurd

To clarify, QJC was always Pro-town, however, the Avatar of Malice (as a neutral role) would have required QJC to live anyway. This was an attempt at balancing the AoM, since it was disguised as both protown and mafia, allowing it to easy fool both parties and use all that information to it's own benefit.
Last question... who was the one who can switch targets?
I wouldn't mind reading everyone's PM right now.
Wait, if Sigurd wasn't converted then what would of happened?
Cool... so thats why I got Andres' results 3 times
Edit: I find it very interesting that everyone I investigated had a role.. I must be prescient :D

My PM and actions are the last post of the previous thread. This is my partner glyphz (who deserves great recognition for his evasive skills) He was never blocked or investigated once, so unassuming his play is.
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Also damn you khaan! We would have killed the priest first and Sigurd shortly after!![]()
Unfortunately, it seems I deleted my role PM over the last week or so(my box seems to find ways of building up). Basically, I was just the old house-keeper. My role was essentially that of the "bus driver" so to speak.
It is better to conquer yourself than to win a thousand battles. Then, the victory is yours. It cannot be taken from you, not by angels or by demons, heaven or hell.
I demand to see everyone's PMs.![]()

Probability was not our friend it seems...
The roles actually look a lot more balanced now, throughout the whole game I was feeling that the game was incredibly stacked towards pro town. Thanks a lot for the roles YLC.
One day I will conquer probability!![]()

This seemed very balanced to me, just a detective, a doc and a roleblocker on the townie side versus two mafia. Good job YLC!
Had you managed to kill QJC (which would have been two nights worth of kills, and you'd have just to target him), you would have ended up with the Little Daemon Prince, since he would have temporarily lost his original ability. Then it would have been 3 full mafia against the town, and as a trump card, he could disable all protown abilities for a night and possibly kill 1 or 2 if he revealed! I was actually concerned he was vastly overpowered!

Looks like me and Sigurd got really lucky.
Great game YLC, looking towards the sequel already.![]()
Also, note that each Mafia had a cover ability they could truly use indirectly. Glyphz was mafia, so thus everyone else was innocent - and since he could make anyone guilty if he wanted, he could then forge a guilty PM.
Reenk could convert, and by proxy, speak to and converse with the dead
I was truly afriad my mafia would be too strong![]()

The mafia team was overpowered, but so was town. All in all, the game was very balanced indeed.
It seems that QJC was a very high risk very high reward target for Mafia.
On the one hand, it was impossible to get him until Sigurd died. And Sigurd was not guaranteed to die in his place either, and with a small chance of actually killing the attacker.
Even if Sigurd died, the ghosts were the closest to QJC. He could have them protect him.
But if the Mafia were persistent and lucky enough, they would have a great ally for their troubles.
Extremely interesting character. I know you had help from Sigurd designing this game YLC (his Midgard is the other game I consider in this one's league) but even he did not know many of the twists. great mechanic.
But QJC was oh so vulnerable at the end, his beloved sister lynched, and the ghosts not believing him. If only the cards had aligned and I gone for him. (Sigurd was really acting worried that I might go for you QJC which I was going to do if the block didn't protect, he even tried to give my orders for me)

Thanks for YLC's indications in the PMs the ghost recieved, the majority of ghosts believed me from the start till not quite the finish. I started to panic a bit after Sigurd died, especially after Glyphz' lynch and the game still not ending. You and Andres were all but proven innocent.

Analysis of the Ghosts and Ghost Council
Primary objective achieved - Keep players interested and involved
Analysis
The Ghosts behaved for the most part as they should, however, they never once questioned the fact that I did not okay RR in the PM I sent them - it should have been obvious why, yet they really did not question it.
A serious hamper to the Ghosts performance however was the lack of being able to reach consensus easily and uniformly. This played more into the mafia's hands, allowing easier control of the Ghosts.
Ghosts, at least one or two, complained at not being able to lash out at the living - this was intentional. The original Ghost Town design had vigilante powers, but it quickly proved massively overpowering and detrimental to the town cause - if the mafia gained control, then that gave them 2 kills per night.
Ghost abilities are very balanced it appears otherwise
Ghost Role PM
Okay, the remaining parts of the analysis to do -Originally Posted by YLC
