If you don't vote out of tradition, you have to give a reason![]()

For invoking the execution method of Evil.
It is better to conquer yourself than to win a thousand battles. Then, the victory is yours. It cannot be taken from you, not by angels or by demons, heaven or hell.
Isn't it usually Ichigo who does that?
Vote: Andres for breaking tradition
Also, aren't the writeups done by the mafiosos? I suppose someone should try to examine them for clues......I would but I don't really want to spend that much time overly analyzing something. Anyways, for what I read, the writeups seem well written with no blatant grammatical errors or anything like that
"I do not know what I may appear to the world; but to myself I seem to have been only like a boy playing on the seashore, and diverting myself in now and then finding a smoother pebble or a prettier shell than ordinary, whilst the great ocean of truth lay all undiscovered before me." - Issac Newton
Some thoughts on the night's targets and opening votes:
Both cast election votes for Shlin28 relatively late in the election process, taking the prize from Reenk. Of course, Reenk also changed his vote at about the same time. Will having voted for Shlin prove unhealthy?
Both Tratorix and CountArach (the last a capable analyst) often curtail participation once they end up dead, so that plays into standard operating procedure for Mafiosi.
So far, even to include the sharks, this game develops on very classic lines.....
Writeups in the first games could be, but weren't always, written by the killer. The Host always reserves the write to edit to control the narratie of the game. Clues are possible, but unlikely unless we've got more than one night to work with. There may be "tells" over time, or "signatures" to be evaluated, but GH's writeup did not include a business card with the name of the murderer left at the scene.
Both Taka and Tev are pretty quick to get into the posting mix after this first night phase....![]()
"The only way that has ever been discovered to have a lot of people cooperate together voluntarily is through the free market. And that's why it's so essential to preserving individual freedom.” -- Milton Friedman
"The urge to save humanity is almost always a false front for the urge to rule." -- H. L. Mencken
The first death writeup does not seem like GH's writing to me. Note the grammar and spelling errors (bolded):
The second write-up does not seem to make the same errors. They seem to be written by two separate people to me, probably one by each mafia killer, though the second one could be GH. Despite the grammar and spelling errors in the first write-up, it is well written well and employs interesting and diverse vocabulary. This seems to indicate that it's either a person for whom English is not a first language, or an experienced writer that was careless and didn't proofread.
Based on a quick perusal of the alive list, I'll go with the first person that strikes me as fitting one of those profiles:

In my Mafia series.
This is not my Mafia series.

"Lemur. Even if he's innocent, he's a pain; so kill him." -Ignoramus
"I'm going to need to collect all of the rants about the guilty lemur, and put them in a pretty box with ponies and pink bows. Then I'm going to sprinkle sparkly magic dust on the box, and kiss it." -Lemur

Change we can believe him is said twice, I doubt that is mere coincidence. The poster has a picture of a man eating a baby, showing this poster cannot be seen as factual, perhaps in this long twisted line of clues shows we cannot trust shlin28![]()
vote: abstain
for now....
Bear in mind, Ares, that since the mafia are doing the write-ups, it is very likely that they are going to intentionally put false leads into them. I wouldn't take into account any mention of names other than those who were killed in the write-ups. There may be one strategy we can use, however: look for whom the write-ups avoided mentioning, later in the game.
As for a vote...

For starting off the round by voting with no evidence whatsoever, and thus paving the way for more nonsensical votes and bandwagons.

I would not put any faith into any of the actual content of the write-ups, as that is easily faked. However, disguising one's own writing style can be exceptionally difficult, even if it is intentionally done. I believe we'll find far more success in that than in any other analysis of the write-ups.
Yes, most of what is said in the write-ups is generally going to be useless. Even writing styles, however, can be faked. In this game in particular, a smart mafia is definitely going to try to change their writing style- probably a small change from American to British English, or vice-versa. It's going to be the small nuances of each dialect that are missed in the sudden change that will be our clues, I think.

You've repeatedly said that you were worried about having to do your own write up if you were mafia in a game that required it because you would have to put work into disguising your style. Now you are voting based on a few grammar errors--

Person 1: You weren't mentioned so you must be scum
Person 2: But if I were scum, I wouldn't be so careless
Person 1: But if you were scum, you would be leaving yourself the opportunity to say you weren't careless
And it can just go on and on.....
@Tincow
Your idea seems very promising. Does anyone here know who in the game speaks English as their first/primary language. I spose that may be useful later on

@taka:
Is that a positive result of an investigation?
I believe the write-ups are supposed to be written and posted unchanged (I wish that was true in Ephesus - It would have been sooo much more fun).
The texts seems to be written in a editor with spell check. Very few errors beside what TinCow has already put forward.
I noticed one little thing though. The second write-up had neighbors instead of neighbours suggesting it was written by an American. When pasting the text into a Norwegian editor, the dictionary changed to English(UK) though.
So... was the neighbor thing deliberate, or a slip up? American vs Eurpean?

I do believe I have died that way once. Certainly I have gone out while having sex with a prostitute.
I'll make sure not to cut myself on your wit...
Ah well, I was going to enjoy the nostalgia of an old game reborn. I'll try to stick around just to spite those mafia who assume I will become inactive.
Now, IF we can verify whether the write-ups are mafia-done or GH-done then we can determine what that points to. I find the use of a complex chemical interesting for one.
Rest in Peace TosaInu, the Org will be your legacy
