And so it was time for those selected by the mark to fight or not as the case maybe. Kung Lao was pushed out into the arena where Shao Kahn’s impressive figure was already standing. Shao Kahn saw his opponent and smiled a big grin. He raised one arm and pointed it at Kung Lao. “You will Die Mortal” he taunted. And with that the action started Shao Kahn conjured a spear out of nowhere and chucked it at Kung Lao. Kung Lao leapt into the air in a bid to avoid the Spear.

Kung Lao narrowly avoided the attack and quickly changed his trajectory bring his foot heavily into Kahn’s unsuspecting chest.

Kung Lao quickly jumped over Kahn and attempted to attack from Kahn’s blind side. Kahn still trying to recover from the last attack managed to put up his arms in the nick of time to block the attack.

With his attack blocked Kung Lao was a sitting duck. Kahn slammed his foot into Kung Lao which sent him flying.

Kahn stood there and taunted Kung Lao once more, “Is that your best?” Kung Lao quickly took of his hat and threw it at Kahn. Kahn just laughed at the futile attempt but stopped when he realised the hat had just taken a big gash out of his waist.

Kung Lao tried to take advantage of Kahn’s surprise by following up with a jump kick but it was his turn to be surprised. Kahn’s used all his speed and his massive frame to shoulder charge right into Kung Lao.

Kung Lao was dazed and could barely stand. Kahn grabbed Kung Lao bear hug style and squeezed the life out of him. Just before Kung Lao due his last breath, Kahn threw him to the ground, pointed his finger and exclaimed “Let this be a lesson to all who dare to face me.”
