Default Camera restriction, on/off for online battles?

I notice that most people have unrestricted camera when playing online. Obviously it is not as realistic. What settings do you guys use for your online play?

I usually turn it on. It's more realistic...

Although I could argue the restrict off because it's easier to fight.

In the end, it's your call.

    Hello Jack Dionne,

The TW games I host, have restricted camera on (sometimes I check something offline and forget to put it back).

General view only seems even more realistic and tougher to me, but I don't recall I ever played that online :(

I always like unrestricbed camera. it may be more unrealstic, but it's real easy to fight with.

I find the restricted camera hard to use in siege battles, so I leave it off.

How good is the battle if you can 'see around corners' ?

So, if you fight in the trees you want to be able to see the enemy??
Next thing you'll be wanting arrows that shoot around corners too.

No, But I'n saying, I can't stand (especlly on VI and SW Mod) that I can't see what my enemy forces have. You going to find out sooner or later, so if you can handle it, then why not have retriction off thwen ?

I play multiplayer so I am a bigger fan of the arcade style. The restricted camera has its uses, but on Grassy flats its really unnecessary. Especially when you can mouse 3 zoom which defeats the whole purpose. And it can become quite a nuisance when you are off skirmishing and you can't scroll to where your units are, you have to scramble and double click them on the unit cards. Too much hassle imo.

i've never seen the point in restricting the camera. it would screw up skirmshing and i wouldnt be able to check if my allies needed to be saved.

The thing is unless your playing someone who you know is going to be truthfull there is no reason playing a, 'relistic' online match because it will turn out, obviously the opposite.

    Many thanks to Durango!
