I just had one of my cities revolt and the AI spawned a very interesting full stack (I'll post the screen shot once I've resized it and put it on Photobucket if anyone needs proof).
It consists of the following:
Cheruscii Warband
Machimoi Native Phalanx
Lusotannan Elite Medium Cavalry
Germanic Spearmen
Belgae Spearmen
Caledonian Skirmishers.
Mercenary Hellenic Heavy Skirmishers
Lusotannan Elite Shock Infantry
Gaelaiche
Iberian Medium Cavalry (x2)
Rorarii
Baltic Light Infantry
Chaucii Warband
Red Sea Light Infantry
Lusotannan Bodyguard Cavalry.
Camillan Triarii
Cohors Praetoriana
Gaeroas
Baltic Archers.
The year is 111 BC. The city that revolted is Mazaka. All units have 2 gold chevrons (not that that's a problem, it's a challenge), but they magically have silver weapons/gold armour (also more of a challenge). Oh, and if it matters, I'm still playing that 0.81a Romanii campaign (I will make it to 14AD).
What I was wondering was, where did the Cohors Preatoriana come from????
And I wiped the Lusotannan out nearly a century ago.
I thought the AI could only spawn rebel armies from the availble troop types/mercenaries in the area?
Has anyone else had the AI spawn strange units only available via use of a TARDIS and an accommodating Time Lord with a strange sense of humour?
