    Default No Celtic Reforms

    Dear forum-members,

I urgently need your help in regard to the Celtic reforms:

    I´m still playing EB v.0.81
In my aedui campaign I´m now in the year 256 B.C.; I recently destroyed the Averni and now I´m occupying the adjactent Rebel towns bit by bit – from Iberia to Scotland.
My finances look good and I was able to build up 4 Dauerdanoch (Great (Level 3) Markets), required for the initiation of the first Celtic reforms (Time of Bondsmen). In the meantime I even built up to 6 Dauerdanoch.
However, no reforms occurred as yet. Are the reforms time-bounded (i.e. do they occur at a certain point of time or at a certain year)? Or is this a bug?
If this is a bug, how can I initiate the reforms?

Just a short remark: during the term I finished my 4th Great Market, the background script informed me that Epirus is asking for my help in Ilyria. I dismissed the request since the Romans seems to be interested in my towns of Mediolanum and Patavium and therefore I assembled my forces there. Was I supposed to agree to the Epirus´request in order to initiate my reforms?

Thank you in advance for your help,
    Best regards
    Marcel

Why the hell are you still playing 0.81? You can´t play 0.81 and exepct everything to work. Hell, you can´t even play 1.0 and expect everything to work, but at least it more often will.
Now, if I remember correctly the reforms in 0.8 were time-bound, bu you should still really go to 1.0.

I don't come here a lot any more. You know why? Because you suck. That's right, I'm talking to you. Your annoying attitude, bad grammar, illogical arguments, false beliefs and pathetic attempts at humour have driven me and many other nice people from this forum. You should feel ashamed. Report here at once to recieve your punishment. Scumbag.

It doesn´t make any difference to me, which version I´m playing – the main thing is that the basic peculiarities of a nation are working… such as reforms in order to get better troops like Neitos or Brihentin… and later Solduros. Because of these troops I decided to play with a celtic nation.

The Celtic reforms in 0.81 were time-based, and didn't occur until 220 BC. You will just have to wait.

I must agree with the general, though. Go 1.0 ASAP. You'll get new, cool units that really should matter to you.

    Ok, thank you very much.

I promise that I shall play EB 1.0 as soon as I have completed my 0.81 Aedui campaign.

Now I´m waiting for 220 B.C. and until then I have to fight the Romans and Germans with my "countrymen"... supported by some Gaesatae :-)))

Ok so from 256 to 220 there are 36years.

Dude... no disrespect... But WTF is up with you???

By the time u are done waiting here AND building the new MIC (which take 15turns), you will have the reforms in EB 1.0. I got my 1st Reform in around 260-250BC and the last reform at around 240-230BC (its 198BC now and I haven't played in 2 weeks so I can't remember the exact dates)

In addition u get new wannabe-Gaesate, Alpine gauls with swordmen, axe men and phalanx (in addition to the Helvetii). Native Italians friendly to Gaul units, Celto-Hellenic infantry in southern Italy and Masselia (I think), Illirian Theroporoi and cavarly, and native northern Iberian light cavarly, skermishers and axe men.

    Plus new skies.

AND FINALY: historical account of each year from 272 until 210 of what was happening in the known world at the time. Each description giving the year as those people measured time (ex: 128years since the 1st Olympics, 10th year of Ptolemoi, 38th of the soandso Pontic Dynasty, etc.)

You could also edit the background script and set the required turnnumbers at whatever suits your fancy. You can even copy in the exact requirements in 1.0 in that script, and it still will work.
