I just started playing EB. My battles seem choppy and slower than on plain RTW. I am I imagining this or is this normal? I am using the same settings as RTW. If not is this a RAM issue?
Thanks a lot.

I dunno what you mean by choppy, but the battles are indeed much slower in EB than RTW. The thing is that the EB units are moving as fast as they should, while in RTW the unit's were running around like some crazy cheetas

If you're talking about framerates then yes EB will probably be a bit slower for most people, not sure by how much (haven't played vanilla in years) but IIRC the unit models are a lot more detailed.
More RAM will always help, outside of battles with EB's nasty load times too.
Cheers
EDIT
btw what are your system specs?

I've just bought myself another 2 GB of RAM - going from 1 GB to 3 GB should make quite a difference!![]()
2GB total is perfect for EB.
Having problems getting EB2 to run? Try these solutions.

I do NOT answer PM requests for help with EB. Ask in a new help thread in the tech help forum.

3 gb is just insane.....
