    Default a question that deserves a Beatdown...

    I've searched and looked here (in where I thought it should've been) and in my game files, but can't figure out such a seemingly simple, basic thing...

    HOW DO I CHANGE THE NUMBER OF UNITS PER SQUADRON???

    Spartans get 80. Armored Elephants get 36. Berserkers get ONLY 24??? WTF???


    This is absurd! And they die so easily! (especially to missiles)

    Please help me fix this inexusable injustice!


    Then you may virtually tar and feather me for asking what I would imagine is a simplistic question.


    BTW, "John Adams" on HBO is showing an actual 'tar and feathering' here soon.

    The file you're looking for is the export_descr_unit file,and below is the number to change in bold:

    I actually looked over that file, but was looking for a "24." Though somewhere else here I read about unit numbers being 'doubled' from what the file said... I assume this why it says only 12?

    The number there is the base amount. It is scaled depending on what unit size you have. The minimum number is 6.

    I play the game with unit sizes on normal and then do any other unit-specific changes in the EDU itself,because I like heavy and light cavalry at double strength,whereas I leave skirmisher cavalry where it is.

    That's just an example of my preferences.
