Thread: EB running slower sometimes then fast again

Red face EB running slower sometimes then fast again

I was playing EB Wednesday night: 3 minute waits between turns; and then very choppy and slow battles (I posted about the battles).

So then I try again Thursday night: 1 minute 30 sec wait between turns; and battles running perfectly smooth.

Has anyone experienced this? I had no additional programs running that I normally don't on Wednesday (ie spyware/antivirus) than on Thursday.

With my older PC I've noticed that when I play a game for too long, or when my pc was active for too long, he runs significantly slower. Maybe that's the cause of your problem.

Idk if this will help you, but everytime I'm going to play eb I restart my computer and let it sit for like a minute (or until it gets queit) I've gotten down to 30-45 seconds waiting time between turns. Also you can change your nvideo graphics to make your game run smoother.. Which is what I did but it does make your units look like trash. Oh well, ill have to live wth it a few more days. Otherwise, buy some ram.

Memory leaks are a bit of a problem. Especially on older machines, it can sometimes take ages between turns. Best thing is to simply save, and reboot the computer.

Also it is best to minimise the number of applications running.
