CTD when conquering Memphis

whenever I play as Seleukids, the game crashes when I take Memphis - right after the 'what do i want to do with the city' - menu, regardless of what I choose here. and it happens in all Seleukid campaigns, not just one

otherwise perfect and great game :)

I think you can get around this by autoresolving the battle.

Sry for being gone so long (I myself find it offensive to ask a question and then leave for weeks on end, ignoring the replies, but had net problems and too much homework to fix them) ;)


Na - I have autoresolved all my attempts at taking Memphis - I actually haven't tried NOT autoresolving (perhaps I should).... Oh wait - THERE ISNT EVEN THE OPTION - by the time the siege is over, there's no-one to fight, the city simply surrenders - even if I wanted to fight, the city's already conquered. But the CTD is there - just after deciding what to do

Is there anything special about taking Memphis? Last town of a faction for example? How many units are in your stack of soldiers? Try making it less. Try ending turn and taking the town next turn.

Also, try adding the -show_err line to the end of the target of your EB shortcut so it tells you what happens when it crashes.

Ok thx I'll try these things :)

Unfortunately I'm at my father's right now with the game being at home, so can't report any of the results right away ;)

And no, it's not the last town of the Ptollies - unfortunately, them rats have infected all of Africa and I have to drive them out of an unbelievable number of tiny, useless hamlets in order to stop them ;)
