Thread: Interloper Trait

  1. #1

    Default Interloper Trait

One of my generals has developed a severe "interloper trait" giving him a -45% penalty (basically having him in a city makes it revolt straight away). Does anyone know how to get rid of this trait? At the moment I have just sent him off to cool off in the Sahara...

When you build a lvl IV government you give your subjects a lot of autonomy. They will only accept Client Rulers as governors. When you send a normal family member there you will piss off the locals. Hence the penalties.

Solution: change the Interloper trait either to give a smaller penalty, or reduce its penalties to 0% so that even if you get it, it doesn't mean anything. Most client rulers were too scared shitless if the overlord came to rebel, anyway.

It represents the attitude of the people really, not quite so much the client ruler (whose personality may be different). It's very very slow too - we are more unhappy with that than anything else - we'd almost like for it to randomly be very high sometimes, but it'd probably be too complicated. It only got to 45% because he has been in that city for years.
