Problems with what i think is vanilla version is (original M2TW)

Hello there from Romania...

WEll i like the game a lot....but seems to me the AI is very very pardon my French

stupid. Well I played all factions...and recently I have started Polish, and so on I grow my provinces [yes Turtle style; this is for Askthepizzaguy] field armies, etc. etc. but in like 20 30 turns the danes assault me...no problem so far...they siege my town Breslau and i sally for an attack...now the weirdness starts...i charge out the gates and to my surprize the whole Danish army stands still and watches my troops as they encircle them and then get medieval on there asses with crossbow fire and the finishing move spearpoints

. Other oddity? Same scenario...only this time they have a stack of archers...archers shoot, run out of arrows and stand still to get sniped by my Merc Crossbows...Want more? Even units with IMPETOUS who would rather go postal then await orders just stand still and accept there untimely demise...Still not good enough? Played other factions (Sicily, Milan Venice) got Ajaccio and Cagliari and not once did any of the opposing factions did try to land an army to wrestle them from my hands. What the hell is going on here?

It happened to me so often that i even contemplated abandoning the game. Can anyone help me ?

@ Andrei. Have you patched your game. AI not attacking those Islands sounds very much like you are playing 1.0. In 1.2 Islands will get invaded and the AI will react to sallies.

So how do i get this new freaker version?? I really enjoy playing but i want reaction not target practice.
