    Default New Sega interview

    Link

Don't get too excited, though. There's really no new information given out, aside from two tidbits:

1.) It sounds as if the land battles will remain roughly the same size and scope as the previous TW titles -- around 10,000 men.

2.) The Sega rep said ETW should be out winter of this year, which implies it'll probably be released no earlier than November (perhaps even December, although that still seems extremely unlikely).

It will be a terrible terrible dissapointment if the don't make progress in the unit size aspect of the land battles.
He does say "like the previous games", but he also says, "upto ten thousand, potentially even more" I'm hanging onto the potentially even more part with all I've got.

    thanks for the link Martok.

    Interesting.

Even though its up to 10 thousand, RTW could hardly have 6-7 thousand, so im hoping the warning threshold will be 10 thousand instead of 4.

    Nice find Martok.

Up to 10000 for each side, or in total? I didn't really catch that.

he said ' 10,000 under your command', not sure this number includes reinforcement, which is not in land battle map. But about the number under
'your command', it's not definitely total size of both player and AI enemy in battlefield.

That is just what I'm holding onto. He did say "under your command" after all and I'm hoping that it just wasn't a slip of his tongue, and that it's a lot different that saying "the total soldiers on the field".

But the most important thing is..
please don't make us upgrade our PC anymore.
fyi : To play Medieval 2 Totalwar without any lags, a year ago, I upgraded to Nvidia Nforce 680i, 7900GTX in SLI mode, and Core 2 duo 2,2 Ghz.
the germans faction is so cool..

7900 is not that much of an upgrade.

The latest is the 9800. The 9600 was $200 AU, and the US is only just less than that, even though we pay twice as much for our games.

You americans pay $50 a game, we pay $100. Thats around ~96 US dollars.

Graphics, graphics, graphics.... oh and sea battles with beautiful graphics.

Obviously there was nothing wrong in previous TW games so nothing to improve, apart from the eye candy.
