    Country of Residence: United States
    Nationality: United States
    Political Compass Result: Economic Left/Right: -3.38 Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -4.77
Where do you put yourself on the political spectrum: Socially liberal, fiscally more conservative.
Do you identify yourself with a certain political grouping: No.
Do you identify yourself with a certain political party: No.
    Religion: Episcopalian.

Abortion: Third trimester abortions should be illegal only if there is a health exception for the mother. It's irresponsible to wait six months before making a decision regarding abortion. Otherwise, they should be legal; women have a right to bodily autonomy. Comprehensive sex education and easy, affordable access to contraception would reduce the need for abortions.

War in Iraq: We shouldn't have invaded Iraq to begin with.

War in Afghanistan: I find it hard to support any war, but if we can help stomp al-qaeda, we should. I don't trust the government to not make horrible strategic errors, though.

Marijuana: Legalize it and treat it like our other legal drugs: alcohol and cigarettes. Impose an age before which people can't buy it, and then tax the out of it. It would take business away from drug dealers and make money for the country.

    Firearms: Yes.

Gay Marriage: Yes. Why is a couple's love invalid because they're the same gender? Why do I deserve to get married and a lesbian does not? The government should be required to perform same sex marriages. I don't think a church should be forced to.

    Gay Adoption: Yes. See above.

Religion in Schools: Not in public schools. Perfectly fine in private schools.

Death Penalty: I'd like to say Yes, but only when it's really obvious when the person is guilty, like the Ft. Hood shooter. But, I don't think it's worth it to have the death penalty if we accidentally execute innocent people, which we have done. I agree with the theory that the death penalty is appropriate for some crimes. But, I don't agree with the current practice because we can't guarantee that an innocent person won't be executed.

    European Union: Yes.
