For many millennia, the Worlds were at peace. The world of the Gods oversaw the world of the Humans. The just and righteous souls would go to the world of the Gods when they died. Those souls who were not just and righteous would be sent to the World of the Demons, or the Netherworld. There, they served their punishments for their time upon the World of Humans. When their punishment was complete, the soul would await reassignment via reincarnation to prove their worthiness to gain entrance to the World of the Gods in Purgatory.
