Thread: Marian Reforms? So Soon?

    Default Marian Reforms? So Soon?

Friends, Romans, Countrymen... I've recently started a new provincial campaign (@ 270BC) with my new Mundus Magnus campaign map. I got to 242 BC and the Marian reforms took place, is this normal with this map, surely this is 1 or 2 (hundred) years too early. Didn't even get a chance to recruit any Triarii???

Can someone point out how this reform is triggered and maybe suggest a way to delay it. A link to a tutorial would suffice. Thanks

The reforms are hardcoded to happen when a roman faction -bar the Senate- manages to upgrade one of it settlements in Italy to a huge city. No way to delay or change it (unless of course you kill the pop growth of the roman factions by adding a relevant penalty in one of their buildings - could use the core building for the large city)

This is going to be moved I suppose...
