I mean, everyone knows that they should be about eighteen feet tall, carry a sword four yards long, and run twice as fast as normal units. They should be able to send men spinning through the air. Certainly the EB team is intelligent enough to realize that any missile short of a 16-inch shell to the chest is incapable of stopping these drugged fanatics! I certainly hope this situation is rectified in 1.1.

EDIT: I have seen so many LS and "Celtic Over-powered" threads that I thought I would hit it from the other angle.
The person responsible for this post....should be sacked!

Sacked, dragged into a dark alley, beaten with seven kinds of hell while still sacked, and left in the dark alley. ;D

I didn't have to. Read this quote from Julius Caesar's "Commentary on the Atlantic War"

"Julius Caesar watched the naked barbarians from the bridge of the S.PQ.R. Apollo as they charged down the beaches, driving his legions back into the sea. Immediately he turned and ordered the 16-inch turrets of the Apollo to commence firing. Howbeit, nothing but a direct hit would do, and despite divebombing attacks from the Roman naptha-carrying falcons, the Gaesatae carried the day."

@pezhetairoi: I don't know what your problem is, I didn't touch the LS. Honest.

Sorta offtopic to all this madness :D, but can anyone tell me where they got the info that the gaesatae were actually on drugs? And what kind of drugs? I imagine it had to be some sort of anaesthetic...

    This is Madness...
    ...You can't handle the Madness!

This is another topic I like to stay away from. Still, because you asked, I'm going to try to be as politick as I can, which is in fact, not at all in my true nature.

Not to mollycoddle any lurking gaesophilic stalwarts, yet after a quick 'mind's eye' review of the logic, I find it impossible to be both factual and subtle. Thus, if you sincerely want to know and as I don't feel I can explain it without vexing or raising some ire (this not directed at the team, rather to the great unwashed masses of EB fans, called legion as they are many), I suggest you just PM me. If however, you're one of these 'spear-lovers' or some other random tweaker, please disregard.

Technicalities, I say! What's that you're wearing on you? Sure it's not touching your skin, it's touching your tunic, but still!

...ahHA! You're even wearing the matching segmentata codpiece pioneered by Hax! Nuuuuuu!

So could I, so could I, but scuttlebutt has it the naptha-carrying falcons are reserved for Empire. I can just see them flitting across the sky at Waterloo.
