8800 series video card problem

I want to re-install MTW+VI but I was told it has emotional problems with the Nvidia 8800 series cards. Any cures for this?

I wish I could help you, man. For whatever reason, though, people have had a devil of a time getting the game to run with your particular card -- in fact, I'm honestly not sure if anyone's successfully managed to do so yet. I know that rolling back one's video drivers to an earlier version does the trick for some folks (it did for me), but my understanding is that this doesn't work for the 8800 series.
