My deepest fear is not that I am inadequate...my deepest fear is that I am powerful beyond measure.
Ity says in the manual i think, if they destroy or out an enemy with gunpowder units, you can get gunpoweder units i think, the same with armour and such...
'It is not anger that drives me to destroy the Egyptian empire, but the promise of gold, a throne, and of all the ruling Pharaoh's concubines in a single night'
-Me sacking the Egyptian cities...
Kill guns and you get guns. Kill horses and you get horses. It is as simple as that. The French land some stacks in the west. Attack them and kill as many musketeers and cavalry. After on (if you are good or lucky), two or three battles you will be able to train mounted thunder braves. You can't get armour upgrades because that is bugged. It is possible to mod the EDB but that will make the apaches stronger than they are now.Originally Posted by Insane834

If I were you I'd mod out natural disasters before you start the campaign. A lack of roads for the Apaches, plus bugged regions, plus spaced out settlements can mean very long travel times.
Also, be aware that there's a suspected bug with Onde's Men. If you unlock cavalry and gunpowder too early, then the ability to recruit Onde's Men can be lost for good. As they're your only heavy-infantry/spearmen/anti-cavalry unit this can be pretty annoying.
Here's an extract from a guide I found somewhere (can't remember where):
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Armor upgrades do not work for the Apaches. Armor Makers Tipi/Wigwam or whatever are useless. I don't remember if it is a result of the unit data or the building data but in any case, it is broken.
It is a bug (feature?) in the building data. In the EDB (export_descr_building) there is no armor bonus. so you either mod that or play without the armor.Originally Posted by ReiseReise
