    Default Seeking horde ?

Is it me getting paranoid or does the GH actualy has a strong inclination to go after the human player ?

Each time I occupy Lithuania (and not Khazar and Kiev), they attack me after two turns without bodering to finish the wars they've started with the Poles, Hungarian or Byz. Fair enough since that's what they do even when my armies are nowher near (playing as Spain, Aragon or England).

On the other hand if I manage to take Constantinople, they almost ignore Kiev and Crimea but go for Trebizon and Georgia just to mess with me.

Is that a common occurrence in your experience ? Happened to me a few times recently playing as the Sicilians but there are other factors that could explain it to some extent (number of province in which the show up, etc.)

Yep, it said "pale master of the world in the making" ("he has spent way too much time locked indoor being persecuted by evil computer but will have his revenge" - health -10, valour -5, acumen -5, dread +5)

Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean the horde isn't out to get you!

    You're not paranoid, dude!

Whenever I play as the Turks, the Horde invariably spawns in Armenia and Georgia and makes a beeline straight for me.

When I play as Novgorod, their forces tend to be focused up North.

Back when I was a n00b and a cheese afficionado, I used to have high-valour emissaries waiting to try and form an alliance before the Khan got fully rolling, but I'm too macho to do that any more.

I'm sure if the game lasted long enough you could turtle in Ireland and still find the Horde hammering down your door eventually

I've kinda noticed this too. Mind you I'm currently playing as the Cumans in high and decided to try and hold Lesser Kazar so it was pretty inevitable that the Horde was going after me!!

Still after killing two Khans in three sucessive battles they decended into Rebels - must have killed all the princes too. Having only vanilla spears available was a bit of a pain I can tell you!! Still, Cuman Warriors, Bashkorts and Steppe Heavy cavalry plus a couple of merc. Pav. Arbalesters and a unit each of Arquebusiers, Billmen and Halbardiers who were worth their weight in Florins proved more than enough to yield 2:1 and 3:1 victories.
