Can this be disable? What is the point of assigning a 30yr old governor to a lvl 4 gov settlement? Help!
I just got 9 governors with 61 cavalry guards.

The governor is a client ruler. It's there to simulate the settlement appointing their own city governor, if you don't want one then you should build a level 3 government.
"It's best to shut your mouth and let everyone think you're ignorant, then to open your mouth and prove it."
If you destroy the level 4 and build a level 3 will the CR go away?

You have to wait until he dies. Makes sense really, neither your puppet ruler nor his people his gonna be happy if you remove him from power.
The Appomination
I don't come here a lot any more. You know why? Because you suck. That's right, I'm talking to you. Your annoying attitude, bad grammar, illogical arguments, false beliefs and pathetic attempts at humour have driven me and many other nice people from this forum. You should feel ashamed. Report here at once to recieve your punishment. Scumbag.
I didn't even realise they were that expensive.
As for the transition thing, I like having them still in place while I move from type IV to type III; representative of the benefits of your faction's culture coming across and being managed by the client ruler. I usually do that at around 25 years post-conquest.
It began on seven hills - an EB 1.1 Romani AAR with historical house-rules (now ceased)
Heirs to Lysimachos - an EB 1.1 Epeiros-as-Pergamon AAR with semi-historical houserules (now ceased)
Philetairos' Gift - a second EB 1.1 Epeiros-as-Pergamon AAR
If you don't replace the level 4 before he dies, will another CR pop up, after he gives up the ghost?

No, you'll have to tear it down and rebuild it (or build another governement type).Originally Posted by cmacq

Which, let's face it, is pretty cheap to do.Originally Posted by Ludens

Just delete the entire 'client ruler' section of the script. It's the entire first half of the EBBS script.
After that, just change the effect of the interloper trait in the descr_character_traits file to zero unrest penalty so you can move your own family members in as governors.
