Nice, I recognise the way you role play :-p
But you make the numbers a but more contrasting, because right now it really is very hard see to see the numbers.

I guess the map was made by using the map from the EB website and colouring it in with a photo edit program. (I have GIMP, but I don't know how to do that :-()

Yes, strangely it does work with custom battles...

Why doesn't it work in my campaign..?? Perhaps it is not save game compatible, but I thought all EDU changes were save game compatible.

    @ Mediolanicus:
You are right, i used those maps and GIMP.
    It's not that difficult:
    1. open the plain map and fill in the provinces in the coulors you like.
    2. paste the antique map on an other level. You can make it a littel bit transparent.

The numbers have so low contrast, because I had to reduce the map size to uploade the map.

    From descr_strat

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

    campaign imperial_campaign
    options bi
    playable
    seleucid
    pontus
    scythia
    parthia
    numidia
    romans_julii
    egypt
    gauls
    germans
    britons
    greek_cities
    macedon
    carthage
    romans_scipii
    dacia
    armenia
    spain
    thrace
    romans_brutii
    saba
    slave
    end
    unlockable
    end
    nonplayable

    end

    Besides, shield wall does work.

    *sigh*

And starting a new campaign doesn't help either.

    EUREKA

    in descr_strat I changed

    campaign barbarian_invasion
    options bi
    playable

And now it works! I just have to fix the faction descriptions when selecting a new campaign, because it can't find them now.

Thank you Tellos for putting me on the right track!
