    Default indeo video codec installation

the video codec from the 1.1 EB hangs during installation :( I always gets to the window that says searching for instances of netscape, then the install program hangs. when I go to the task manager, the install program is in the not responding state. I dunno what is wrong, I don't understand why it would hang on me. I wanna see the opening cinematic :(

Have you tried without installing that codec?

A quick guess: you have either Opera, Mozilla Firefox or any of its deratives running in the background?

Patience, as well as closing all open web browsers (hey it's a plugin after all), is the key to a quicker installation. Or so I learned when I tried to install the kit on my laptop. <_<

ok, finally got it installed. I basically just let it sit there in the not responding state for like 5 minutes and it finish installing! even with the browser window open. weird, since this is just a simple codec installation, should not take this long. I did try to install it with nothing running tellos, but after like 30 secs I check task, it was in that state. your patience word, gave me that idea, letting it sit there in the background.
