who will you play first? Me, I'm going to do a Lusotannan migration to Ireland(and hopefully write an AAR for it if I can find the time).
Edit: woops, there was supposed to be a poll with this.

Why did the chicken cross the road?
So that its subjects will view it with admiration, as a chicken which has the daring and courage to boldly cross the road,
but also with fear, for whom among them has the strength to contend with such a paragon of avian virtue? In such a manner is the princely
chicken's dominion maintained. ~Machiavelli

I'll first finish Operation Free Galatia in 1.0. then I'll start EB 1.1
Probably KH.

KH definitely.
A ha ha! Rainbows and unicorns! Rainbows and unicorns!
I've been playing first with the AS ever since 0.8, and it was my second campaign in 0.74Originally Posted by abou

The only faction I ever play; Romani. Not for a week or two, though, I've got my guide to write and my mini-mod attempt too.
It began on seven hills - an EB 1.1 Romani AAR with historical house-rules (now ceased)
Heirs to Lysimachos - an EB 1.1 Epeiros-as-Pergamon AAR with semi-historical houserules (now ceased)
Philetairos' Gift - a second EB 1.1 Epeiros-as-Pergamon AAR

I'm going to give Makedon a go, have been playing Lusotanan most recently so its about time for a change to phalanxes.
Plus the last time I played a Successor was I think in 0.8 & got stuck on a repeated CTD fairly early.
maybe those guys should be doing something more useful...
Going to try KH
1.0 completed:
-Baktria
I'm going to try either Pontos or AS, haven't decided yet.
Romani, Baktria or Makedonia.
cARTHAGE....
such a challenge....cruddy spearmens vs crazy romans and lussos and then ptolys AHHH TEH CARNAGE TEH CARNAGE!!
I started as KH. But then I restarted as Haysadan. I'd never played as them before and now can't imagine why. They rock. My new favorite faction.

They do indeed, they do indeed...
I started a Pahlava campaign but I don't know if they suit my gameplaying style at all. The only option seems to be to blitz one of the neighbouring factions early on since the only Eleutheroi town nearby is packed with horse archers. The AS towns in the far eastern end of their empire are very lightly guarded...
As the Hai you can rush the neighbouring independent cities and build up a reasonably stable economic base before tackling the AS. Not to mention they have reforms which adds another dimension to the game. Now I can't decide whether to continue as Pahlava or start yet another Hayasdan campaign.
Decisions, decisions...
