    Hi

Just had the French reappear for about the 3rd time.

3 Armies in 1 Province and they consist of at 20 x 20 Royal Knight Units'not to mention the Feudal Knights and menn at arms.

I don't mind rebellion every so often'but Royal Knights are the Hard Asses of the game and i suddenly have 400 in my Rear Area.

    Is this a Bug?

Well, not really, but they ARE tweaking respawning faction stack strength.

I suppose it can be thought of as a bug. "They" (almighty ca) have put into the patch a fix to make rebellions (and, by extention, reappearing factions) a bit more realistic. They will have a more normal mix of troops.

    ------------------
"You there, knight!" "Yes, sir?" "We just lost that battle. Why did you order your men to charge that unit of enemy sergeants?" "Uh, I was impetuous, sir" "'IMPETUOUS!? Impetuous!? Men! Kill him, I want his head!"

I've seen this too, hach. The pope returned to one of my games with a royal knight heavy army. I contained it but it was a close run thing.

it's probably not as buggy as some people seem to think: a rebellion with ten ballistas is a bug, but a revolt of a returning faction of challenging strength isn't so odd.
re-emerging factions tend to reappear in a degree of strength relative to the current/common technology level. There's no point in emerging with only peasants when all the neighbors have serpentines and swiss pikemen.

Yeah, Today, Guerillas as in Ivory coast field assault rifles & some heavy weaponry, nearly at the same level that the "legitimate" gov.

Add to it the fact that respawning is the toy of rich nobles, and you'll understand why there are several heavy cav within the rebellion.

My most funny respawning was the following one : while conquering France, they sent a crusade to Pagan neutral Finland. I crushed the crusade & destroyed the french(Yeah, I lack national spirit). 20 years later, french did respawn...in Finland!!!

I'm quite happy to have them in my rear area's and it will definately be a challenge'just would have been nice if his Army was more balanced.

    Hopefully after the Patch?
